Just popped the movie "Sunshine" into my PS3 only to find some enhanced commentary thing popping up in the lower right of the frame all the time, basically rendering the movie unwatchable. Went to the special features menu, can't seem to turn it off, google "sunshine ps3" and discover that Sony basically broke the movie with the 3.5 firmware update. Thanks guys!

Did you call for a replacement like the thread says ?
Quote:
Now, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has come through and made available replacement Blu-ray discs for any consumer that has had an issue playing their copy of Sunshine. Consumers should contact Fox customer service at 888-223-4369, where their name and address will be taken down for a replacement disc.

Several players were affected, including the PS3 (after a recent firmware update).

Dragon Quest for NES was the first game other than mario that I beat. I was never able to beat TMNT's and that still bugs me.

First game I did a walk through for was Resident Evil, I kinda had to tho as I was a busto kid and didn't have a memory card.

CoD is about as fast as you get nowadays, afaik. MW2 that is too. Black Ops sucks, and is slow.

Anything else that I can think of is pretty slow paced (Battlefield, Crysis 2, FailOps).

I just had to look up Unreal to see how fast paced it was. I guess CoD is much slower unless you decide to do some Lightweight Marathon rushing with the Spas or something.

Maybe check out Gears of War 3? I never played it, but it seems like it might be something you are looking for.

Wow COD is way to fast passed for me. I couldn't imagine trying to play a faster FPS then those games.

Do they even make games like that anymore? (I guess that why you asking...lol) I remember those games for PC back in the mid 90's.

Here I'll fix your post..

EVERYTHING you get for FREE now will STILL BE FREE.. You WILL NOT have to pay a monthly fee to PLAY ONLINE.. Same with the DLC.. You still have to pay for it..

Details of what this Elite service actually is, will be released tomorrow morning..

You know, I wouldn't have disagreed with your assessment a few weeks ago, even though I enjoy Black Ops. But I took last week off after playing pretty much every day, and messed around with some other games. I played a lot of Mario Kart Wii, which is fairly fast paced if you're playing the 150cc races.

When I put BO back in last night, I was shocked at how quick it was. It took me most of the night to get a rhythm back. Even though it's slower than MW2 -- which is so hectic I can barely play it anymore -- I think we take for granted how fast-twitch these games are.

For the person who wanted a fast-paced game, I don't think you'll be disappointed in the pace, although there are plenty of other things that will piss you off about it.

I was just comparing Black Ops to MW2, meaning that CoD is about as fast-paced as you get, but that MW2 is faster than Black Ops. No doubt that Black Ops requires sudden movements and quick reactions, but comparing it to MW2, it's a lot slower.

I was playing MW2 the other night with doodoo, Dom on Invasion, and reminded myself how much fun the Tar was, and then when I ran out of ammo for that I was quickly reminded how much I loved using the Spas.

And then we got into a Dom game on Scrapyard that turned into a toobparty and was quickly reminded how much I ended up hating MW2.

Lol, pretty much my experience exactly. I loved the Tar, and when I was forced to go to my secondary, I wondered why I wasn't using it the entire time.

The thing I couldn't get past was dying without knowing why over and over again, then finally watching the killcam and seeing some ******* in the corner of the map with his tube pointed to the sky. Soooooo lame.

I am currently playing Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, and enjoying it, about 80% completed.

I bought it like 4-5 years ago to play on gamecube, and got stuck at the 60% mark, probably because I only played it when drinking and got too confused when kinda drunk. Breezed past the part I was scared of when I played it this time sober. I remembered it as a kinda boring game, but am enjoying it now on my kinda 2nd time through.

If you guys have been gamers for a long time like I have, going back and playing games you may have played only once or twice is a great way to re-enjoy a great game, save money, and relive your childhood.

I've been slowly making my way through Metroid Prime 2 over the past 6 months. That game is just as good today as is was when it came out. Definately love going back to older games.

Totally agree. I throw in an oldie but goodie after every 3-4 new games. Just finished doing everything on RE4 again. Can't say that's the best game I've ever played, but I also can't say that it isn't if that makes sense. Just so good.

Also +1 on Metroid Prime 2, don't know how anyone can beat that without a guide though.

Ya I've used the Internet a few times, mostly for bosses since I don really have the patience for trial and erroring the strategies required to kill them. I also take notes when I see items I can't reach just so I know where I have to go back to. Also it has nintendos stupid back track the whole game to get the secret keys mechanics like the triforce piece part in wind waker. That was a waste of an hour and totally unnecessary.

Pretty sure I made it all the way to the final boss without a guide in Metroid Prime 2 and couldn't beat it, so I stopped. I think I did the same thing in the original Metroid Prime. But I am 90% sure I beat the final boss in Metroid Prime 3.

Both the first and the 2nd are on my replay backlog list.

I actually have recently picked up Metroid Prime 1 myself. Playing it on the Wii. Huge fan of the old Metroids so not sure how/why I never played the Primes. Still have the GC disc I never played but I figured why not embrace technology and play the Wii version
