I think we need to see a few more LANs out of this incarnation of EG to have a fully formed opinion, but it’s getting harder to defend RTZ and Sumail.

yeah i really like rtz but hes been playing mediocre at best for like a year now.

I do think with practice fly could captain the team to be a contender at TI but the stars would have to align perfectly

That would require RTZ and sumail to be capable of being captained... which doesn't seem to be the case (ever for RTZ and anymore for sumail)

Games appear to be worth 200 MMR each in new calibration. Lol Volvo. Can’t think of a worse way to recalibrate. (5-3 at the moment, but now won’t mean anything if I reach immortal / leaderboard).

Every calibration match has been more toxic than the last. I won the first 3 because of enemy strife, lost the next 4 because of my own toxic team, and this one just now was literally a competition of throws which we lost, and thus won the game.

I don't know what's happening, but I hope I wake up with 1k mmr at the end and get to play 200 of the easiest dota games of my life afterward.

Liquid and VP definitely the best two teams right now. Wish we got more even games in the final. Everything seemed fairly one sided.

New PA 20 talent triple dagger is amazing. Makes battlefury redundant because triple desolator lvl 20 pa daggers effectively clear any camp/wave anyway. Super easy to camp their jungle if you are ahead and much less pressure on her item requirements, to let her build bkb/silveredge etc. Don't get me wrong I'm still building bf ~40% of the time. The main thing is deso pa no longer falls into a ditch at lvl 20. Oh ya did I mention they buffed dagger slow scaling lvl 1-3, so her lane is ~average as melee carries go.

How does it make battlefury redundant, the extra daggers go to different units?

If all three daggers went to the same target, she'd basically 1-shot everyone every time. So yeah, it's like the Skywrath aghs. Random target within X units from original target. Can't hit same person twice, I believe.

Going dagger talent over lifesteal seems terrible in almost every case I can think of. I’m never wasting an item slot on lifesteal unless I have to man up early on someone like Axe.

I can see it being useful when youre really far behind, to hold highground. And maybe even in the opposite scenario, picking it against a team who hold highground really well themselves with numerous Sniper/Invoker type heroes sitting far back

Also it just seems funny to 1hitKO 2-3 ~supports simultaneously with 1 daggercast

I make vlads basically every game since it is just a headband away after starting aquilla. It is nice sustain for newbie teammates who do not have enough regen.

Any team can make a surpise at ti, liquid have been consistent they might defend this year ti, VP would stomp any team but not team liquid. Si basically this year ti team liquid upper bracket final and vp on the lower bracker stomping all the way to final

Went 5-5 in calibration and went from D4 to D1. Old MMR was 5.4 something I think to 5.2ish. The system is really strange.

Ritsu stack vs Alliance, winner goes through to TI regional qualifiers was the clowniest series and ended in the perfect way. Not worth watching the whole series but the last 3 or so minutes of game 3 was incredible.
