Just "napped" from 7 pm to 1 am...second night in a row, this is going to create a vampiric sleep schedule

Lol.....this happens to me about once every ~5 weeks or so. All it takes is one day of playing poker for ~15 hours and staying up like 24 hours to get back to normal.

Naps are a bad habit to get into, if you are already getting enough sleep during your normal sleep routine. Next time you get tired, go workout or something.

god I am lifetilt. lost my iPhone today while outside...so had to get a new one and change every password that I have to ensure the finder of my lost iPhone cant get into anything sensitive.

that sucks. Do you use "password keeper" on the iPhone? the iPhone app is free and the PC (and Mac?) SW that it syncs with costs $$.

I use the iPhone screen lock but I'm sure that is a dawdle to get around for real crooks. Still, it should keep the idiot crooks out for a while.

The whole authentication system on the interwebz is one of my pet peeves.

no password screen lock was on. i only use that when i go some place new (friend of a friends house, girls house, etc). i dont think they will have access to a ton of stuff, and they really only had a 3hr window to get anything from my emails/AIM/FB/etc. So all they really have is some music, some fun apps, and a free iphone. I was just hoping they would use all the apps on my front page first because i had this "lost iphone" app that would give me the coordinates of my phone if they opened it...but alas, they did not =(

Experiments do not have good or bad results; the only produce data. Just because they don't match up with your expectations doesn't mean they aren't useful. Or even entertaining.

On the breaking computers thing; My laptops have almost become frisbees so many times I can't count them. If it weren't for the fact that I was playing on a computer supplied to me by someone else for a long time, I'm sure it would have happened. I think I've got past that particular tilt problem at this point, but I guess you never know.

Actually, they do have bad results. A bad result is spending a lot of time performing an experiment and not being wiser afterwards (e.g. because the experiment was poorly designed or executed).

But yes, a well designed and executed experiment never has a bad result.

Just read the U.S House Care Reform bill. I don't mind paying for universal health care but this seems flawed. First off, I personally will be a big bill payer of this bill, due to income (active and passive tax increases) and excise tax on my employer provided health care plan.

What I really don't like, is that there is no substantial cost control at all. Just lip service. This was one of the reason I (registered republican) was fine with health care reform beacause I thought our current model was unsustainable.

The next biggest problem is how the limits are calculated for who gets aid and who is a payer. For instance the poverty level in the U.S. nationally is $22K for a family of four. Here in San Diego its $59K. Under the new bill a family of four in San Diego who is consider below the area's poverty line won't receive aid BUT worse will be a bill payer...

Our entire government is unsustainable with the current level of commitments. Some future president is going to say, "to all you folks saying 'Yankee, go home,' we are. To those expecting inflation increases in social security payments, don't. To those expecting anything other than basic medical care, so sorry."

simple solution...end the wars. repeal the tax cuts.
