I dont expect he will get jeered.
Most golf fans will be glad to see him back imo.
But watching golf has got to be close to the most boring sports to watch.
Great game to play.......

It isn't so much as whether his family is an accessory or not (it pretty much was before obviously), but that he's going to get a lot more negative vibe from the press and galleries than he's ever dealt with. Remember, he's been getting cheers when golfing since he appeared on the Mike Douglas show at 3. That will be the hard thing for him to handle.
The do random tests for PED's, and I doubt Tiger would go that route. He has been addicted to pain meds for a number of years (something that got completely washed during the whole "cocktail waitress" fiasco.) I would bet that part of his sex-addiction therapy was also cleaning himself up from the pain meds.

I agree that age plays a large part, but he's a super-physical freak. I'm honestly not entirely sure how much negativity he's going to see from galleries and the press, tbh. The press is going to be thrilled to have their meal-ticket back doing amazing things, and I think that galleries will enjoy not having to watch Steve Stricker (as much as I like him.)

There will be some (more) negativity, but there has always been some negativity both in the press and from fans. Media people have always griped about their lack of access, while Phil has always been the peoples champion.

FML, I forgot you were Canadian!

Are you going to play TPC Scottsdale? That course looks really nice on the television.

I'm so jealous about the courses you US/Canadians get to play. Sure I can play them too, but it's a looooooong driver

Tried to take the annual golf trip we have each spring with the buddies abroad (suggested Florida area) this year, but the idiots wanted to play a crappy Swedish course instead

What's the courses like around Vegas?

In my defense.........okay this is not defensible.

I am playing Mr. Mom this morning so I was holding my 1 year old and 3 year old while I put on my shoes, but still no excuse.

As far as my ankles..yeah they are not porportional. My shoe size is 13.5 US, and my ankles are like wrists.

Not to pile on, but the length of the pants are a bit high, too.

which I had time to read the socio-economic debate. If I was free of monetary responsibilities I would seriously consider doing a economics/philosophy thesis. I'm interested in economics in so much as it can lend a scientific approach to the philosophy of building a good society and pursuit of the good life.

Ah well, back to debugging a scaling problem on my router.

He is sitting. Probably bending forward to take the photo too. I suspect that if you saw him standing you wouldn't notice anything amiss with the length.

I am actually pulling my pants up so someone can get a good picture of the shoes.

Hola! Just spent a lovely week in warm, maritime climate. Enjoyed myself immensely, and why not?

When the hotel provided this:

...and just a mere 20-minute drive took us to places like this:

Eating pornish food such as this:

And even the nights were as beautiful and warm as the last image can only hint at:

To top it off, I discover that chat thread has once again woken up and this time on the subjects of fiscal policy. Good times.

Has anyone else listened to the new Gorillaz album?

Canary Islands. Not on any of the big ones. A smaller one, La Gomera, about 40km southwest of Tenerife.

Extremely broken terrain, no golden beaches, and therefore not that big a location for major tourism. Also the host of the last natural greenwood forest in the world, if I'm not mistaken.

Quite a lovely place.

I saw a website where they had clips of the tracks. Sounds good.

Speaking of which. How does one make the transition from CDs to um...whatever you kids are listening to these days? I figure I should be starting this process soon.

It's pretty nasty good if you like their style of music...

Most of the time I download songs from Amazon or ITunes for $.99, albums are usually in the $5-$7.99 range, so it makes it cheaper to buy them online in the .mp3 format and then upload it to your portable music device or *gasp* burn a CD of it.

I buy most of my music online, although I do love the occasional trip to the store. I went out and bought the Gorillaz CD for $9.99 @ Best Buy, new stuff is usually on sale the first week it comes out for those who enjoy having a physical copy of the CD.

Oh, it's out?

Spend about 4 straight days in front of your computer pushing CDs in and out to rip your entire collection, then don't look back.
