We had an African Grey Parrot (life expectancy, ~50 years) at the same time as our dog. Sometimes the bird would fall out of his tree and onto the floor (clipped wings, couldn't fly) and he would chase our dog around (she was a very timid animal).

When it came time to move, my parents decided to not keep the bird (it was inherited from my deceased grandfather) and we gave it to an avid birdy. Apparently it was a female, and for 7 years we thought it was a male...always thought it was kind of funny.

If you train them properly, i think parrots are a good deal of joy, so long as they are well mannered (don't bite, mount properly, etc...) and talkative (ours was) they can be really quite pleasing when you're just sitting at home. They're also terribly low maintenance as long as you give them a decent playplace.

It's very hard to say goodbye to a friend. It's even harder to have to help them go. I've done this more than once, and it never gets easier. Only thing that helps is to know they no longer suffer.

I am sad to hear of your loss.

CJ and I just saw Repo Men, it was ok. Could have been some more action throughout the movie but cool moral overtone in the movie.

not at all homosexual, don't know why it would be considered gay in the slightest

Why would you even bother? I've done many things in my life that might be considered gay by a lot of people, and quite some where the use of the word "might" seems inappropriate*), and I never gave a ****. Makes life a lot easier. Just go to the ****ing concert and have a good time, ffs.

*) and I'm not talking about going to a lady's concert, how is that gay?

Hmm. One thing you might consider is that what you thought was a Lexus is actually an old Toyota.

That might suggest that the driver wasn't thinking it was beneath their dignity to acknowledge the Chevy driver, but, rather, the Toyota driver might simply have missed the Chevy driver's wave due to extremely heavy traffic.

So maybe the Chevy driver shouldn't be so quick to turn that wave into a middle finger; there are other explanations worth exploring other than the guy being a snob.

Lady Gaga is awesome, she is a real musician not some product. A musician friend of mine played some gigs with here when she was known as Stephanie and said she was cool. The Fame Monster >>>>>> The Fame (good too but definitely more poppy)

Besides just shout No **** after the concert and all will be forgiven.

I must admit I have an immediately dim view of anyone who drives a Lexus, unless proven otherwise.

Why? What should they drive? The same thing as you? If someone wants to spend their money on a type of brand of car they get then why should you consider them be a certain way? Likewise if I know someone has a good amount of money, and they want to continue to drive their 1988 Volvo then its up to them.

Now if they are driving a hummer with rims.....
