100% yes. Balvenie 15 here (most of the time.)

I've been back on a Bourbon kick lately though. Different whiskey, similar drink. (just a couple of cubes please.)

Damntra: if you want to prove your coolness to 2+2, you'll post a pic of yourself in your new Jason Bay Mets jersey that I know you've rushed out and bought.

Bay is one of my favourite non-Cubbbie ball players, not only because he's Canadian, but also because he's a great player.

That being said, I feel sad for your Mets because they have to deal with Roy Halladay this year. He looked rock solid yesterday against the Yankees.

Actually, I'm more into old school jersey's.

The next jersey I get I think might be a Koosman jersey.

Yeah, I've been drinking more Bourbon since I visited Makers Mark and Woodford Reserve in KY. Going through a bottle of Woodford now. Def not as smooth as some of the scotches, but good stuff.

It's kind of like when you first have a beer. I don't think many people take their first sip and think "ZOMG this is soooo good!" You just have to power through the initial phases. Eventually it will taste less like pure heat and become pretty tasty when you can actually differentiate different flavors in different whiskeys.

When I was working for a law firm the first partner I ever worked for (like 8000 years old) always called us in to his office at 5pm sharp every day for a glass of scotch. I was like 20-21 and remembered barely being able to choke it down. (It's not quite Natty Light...)

I spent about 3 months forcing myself to have a glass basically every time I went out for dinner or was doing something other than swilling cheap beer. I've been hooked ever since.

I'm actually just finished a bottle of Maker's after my session last night! Not necessarily as smooth, but also generally sweeter, oakier and less smokey.

Oh, there wasn't a lot left in the bottle ldo. Like 3 fingers...

This LOL. That is sweet that he finished every day with a nip! Funnily enough, it was my boss that made me start drinking Scotch. He said that every self respecting male has to drink Scotch. I agree now.

Yup, I love me some Scotch.

Scotch is the one liquor I can't enjoy straight up. Much prefer Crown Royal for some sippin'.

I don't think I'll ever find humor in anything where there was a lot of death or human suffering.
I dunno, it is pretty funny how many folks have died (and continue to die) in Iraq! Of course it is a lot more humorous when the folks dying are natives of a foreign (and preferably non-white) country rather than US citizens but our kill ratio is pretty good so what ever. GG democracy!

There are a lot of things that if I don't laugh at them then I am forced to cry and laughing is less taxing than crying.

I like having my call and check btn's seperate cuz the popup box tilts the he'll out of me even though TN checks for me. .

I could probably use the forethumb btn, but my last mouse was larger and that btn felt unnatural to me....I think I could use it on his mouse. May try it.

Continuing TR on my shot at $200:

This is my graph from tonight, mixed $100 and $200.

This is my graph since I started mixing in $200 tables:

I'm back to break even at $200 after I got put in a serious hole that first night.

I'm feeling pretty good about my play so far.

No really interesting hands. Most everything has been pretty standard. I thought I played this hand pretty well; villain was a 33/13/3.5:

Full Tilt Poker $200.00 No Limit Hold'em - 9 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

BB: $320.90
UTG: $203.00
UTG+1: $123.20
Hero (UTG+2): $223.30
MP1: $200.00
MP2: $216.00
CO: $228.90
BTN: $64.00
SB: $200.00

Pre Flop: ($3.00) Hero is UTG+2 with T T
2 folds, Hero raises to $6, 5 folds, BB calls $4

Flop: ($13.00) J 3 2 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $8.00, BB raises to $18, Hero calls $10

Turn: ($49.00) 8 (2 players)
BB bets $26.00, Hero calls $26

River: ($101.00) 4 (2 players)
BB bets $69.00, Hero calls $69

Final Pot: $239.00
BB shows T 9
Hero shows T T
Hero wins $236.00
(Rake: $3.00)

And i think I misplayed this one, but I'm not sure. Villain is 13/8/3, fold to 3 bet of 50% sample was 2.

Hero was really torn between calling and shoving--thoughts???

that was my 1st thought, to check/shove the flop. I opted to lead because it was a pretty safe board for his calling range to float on, and I planned to check/shove the turn.
03-05-2010 , 10:47 PM
I like the shove. The fish even at 50nl are starting to raise dry flops, because you can't possibly have a hand on that flop and have seen that people fold to raises. Not many people call 3bets with AA and the only thing in his range is JJ that beats you.

It tends to calm the aggressive ones down a bit, so it is good for your meta-game.

so it's a nitty fish? meh. i think i call and lead turn. sorry his stack size is throwing me for a loop.

call/lead turn seems goot, plz don't fold that. Perhaps i treat less than 100bb stacks a little too much like the mentally challenged, but he's going to have AJ there quite a bit.

Umm...ok. Not sure if you're trying to drum up a discussion or what with your post, but ok.

Well, you are certainly entitled to your point of view.

Equus, sorry but plans have changed! ZOMG I'm so good at changing plans at the last minute, it's kind of my thing.

Staying in MN for the time being, GF is looking to move back here, planning on sojourning in Europe for a month this summer.

LOL donkaments
