Advice for playing $200: Don't give free cards when you flop a set; they seem to be good at spiking two outers on the river.

Also: Isolating UTG limpers with JTs is likely to leave you outkicked when you flop top pair.

Down $80 at the moment, but definitely feeling like I have an edge against most of the players.

I have basically quit giving free cards ever, no matter how ridiculous it is. I raise AA from CO and BB calls... A93r flop? I'm cbetting that ****!

Gutshots fill 1 in 10, but it seems that's the same 1 hand in 10 I played like an ***hole and checked my set.

Someone should stop referring to stuff he sees on tv as seeing, "people's lives screwed by stalkers."

pt - JLB's going abroad for 6 months so if he has to deal with an consequences, he can deal with them then.

I got dealt KK 5 times tonight. 4x I was against AA (I won one, heater?) and 1x I got beat by A9 who rivered the A.

Sry for posting BBV in chat.

03-04-2010 , 02:57 AM
that did not go well.

I finished the session up $471 at $100, and down $646 at $200. To top things off, my HEM stopped importing and before I realized it, I was down $250 past the planned stop loss.

Very demoralizing. I made some mistakes, no doubt about it, but I would have finished up at $200 if I could have just caught some breaks (other than the KK v. KK win, obviously). Every big hand I played went against me. I finished the session down with sets, top pair, two pair, straights and flushes. Sort of hard to win that way.

Found this gem in BBV...absolutely fantastic Sidney Crosby photoshop thread...

So I just got back from my first ever strip club visit. Luckily my new roommate is a bouncer at basically every bar in the city so we didn't have to pay cover at the strip club or at the club we went to right afterward. Unfortunately the strip club that I went to is the only one within like a 100 kilometer radius so they can get away with the rule that "you're NOT allowed to touch the girls in any way". I wasn't sure about the rules there so I tried to get one of the girls' attention while I was getting a dance, so I tapped her leg and one of the bouncers went nuts on me. Like I said though, my roommate works at every bar in the city so it got smoothed out because he knew the guy. Biggest waste of money ever. I coulda stayed home and watched porn and I would be $60 richer right now lol.

FML for living in the most boring city on planet earth.

I've never been to a strip club before (I'm a 22 year old male...OMG! WHAT!)

I guess I just really have no desire to go after hearing tons of stories similar to yours. I prefer the fun/challenge of going out and meeting women instead of paying money to have a girl dance on me.

I might feel different if I have a big tourney score or something and just have some money to blow, but it just seems like a big waste of money/time for something that usually seems more like a headache than fun.

Fair enough imo. I would probably feel the same way tbh if it was my own money and not my parents'. Luckily I don't have to worry about spending my own money for another couple of years

Nice use of freeroll funds

I recently had the chance to go to Sapphire in Vegas, which apparently is one of the best strip clubs in the world. A bunch of my buddies were going after we hit the clubs and I decided to play 1/3 for a little 2-4am session @ the Wynn instead. I was +$20 in 2 hours play, got back to the room as they were coming back - apparently there were some of the most gorgeous women there with like a 1.5:1 dancer-to-guy ratio...but...there was $50 cover + drinks were $10 and then the standard dance fees...meh.

I'm sure I will make it to one at some point, but I can only see it if I'm with my buddies and I'm liquored up and make one of those "it seemed like a great decision at the time".
