Okay,
Do I play in a live home MTT tourney (that is actually run better than most Casino uMTT), or do I put the hands in online when the games should be juicy??

So for those wondering if there will be a new boom.....I think this will be it

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...mbling-404904/

If this happens and say a company like Harrahs opens up USA legal poker site, the games will get really juicy. I may have to take a leave of abscence from my current job for the first 6 months these sites are opened.

Great, now I really have to get off my ass and update the FAQs

(Or, actually, stay on my ass, since I can really only do it from a seated position..)

Don't forget caffeine. Remember when you could walk into any office on our floor at work and there would be a case or two of Monster? I swear that stuff has crack in it.

Bah... remember never to let me play on the night before I leave on a vacation... always have to lose exactly $300 the night before I leave.

Can someone help me figure this out? It probably doesn't deserve it's own thread. Just some random ramblings in my brain to keep from going brain dead at work.

isolate/cbet line one function vs two. disregard cards, hand strength and future value, etc. we're playing with 2 jokers in our hand.

fish limps, we isolate for 5 BB, fish calls.
Flop: 11.5 BB

We cbet 6-11.5 BB and need fish to fold between 34%-50% depending on bet size. Standard is typically 60% success rate which would mean that cbetting every single time is highly profitable.

ok, but now we take the line as a whole.
If we don't cbet every time, the line as a whole becomes marginal at best.

Lets say we cbet 80% of the time, and when we do, we win 60% of the time. Lets bet 7 into 11.5. 20% of the time we just c/f because board is gross or w/e reason and we lose our 5BB from the PF iso. and we're looking at profitability for the hand as a whole here (PF and flop).

0.20(-5 BB) + 0.8(0.6*6.5 BB - 0.4*12 BB)
-1 + 0.8(3.9 - 4.8)
= -1.72 BB for the function as a whole

^ is my rationale or math completely messed up in this second calculation? We basically need to cbet 100% to keep the 2nd calculation close to profitable. and a smaller cbet in this situation

I'm fairly sure it doesn't work like that JH1.

I think you would have to 'filter' the times we have a hand that we bet for value or we are Cbetting when we miss.

Actually I remember CMAR and Mpeth had some argument over this lol. have fun!

yeah i'm thinking my 2nd calculation has a serious flaw but i can't figure out what it is lol.
