I think he made a bet with Phil Gordon. Same bet as last time. Phil puts 30k, he puts 10k. Has to make 10k in a month at NL25, FR, 24 tables.

The bets starts in April, I think, and he is probably just testing the field at the moment.
02-14-2009 , 10:25 AM
that's crazy, doable?
02-14-2009 , 10:26 AM
lol somebody should try this at 0.05nl

If you grind for 16 hours a day with running normal, It's doable
02-14-2009 , 10:50 AM
Ohhh, crap. High time to move up before that, as to not get in the way.

What's a reasonable WR at the nickel tables?
02-14-2009 , 11:42 AM
are there some good movies I should download and watch?

With good I mean: Good dialog, Unexpectable things happening

Not good: Cool guy gets hot chick with horrible action scenes in between them
02-14-2009 , 12:12 PM
get Snatch if you haven't seen it already... absolute genius
02-14-2009 , 12:23 PM

Recently I don't know. Snatch is good, but so is The Usual Suspects... these films are probably older than you though One of my favourites as far as good dialog and unexpectable things go has always been North by Northwest, but many people disagree, and that one is actually older than me
02-14-2009 , 04:06 PM
Wish me luck. Starting tomorrow it's time for shots at 50NL, even if by strictest requirements my bankroll is not quite there.

Less than a dollar short... all because of a stupid calldown at the end of my evening session.

Saw them both like 10.000 times. Great movies.

How about... The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover. It's like an inverted stand-up act.

Congrats on the milestone! Nice to see 2p2'ers win these.

In other news, I went on a poker marathon from 8AM Thursday, slept two hours, then left my house at 12:30 yesterday afternoon to take my son and his friends to a concert. Got home at 5 Am this morning.

I crashed 10 hours, just got up. My body is sore from all that time in the computer chair + car.
02-14-2009 , 09:51 PM
wow, going out to dinner w/ friends tonight and not w/ a date was super depressing.
