so...If i'm down 300bbs and we're playing, he's allowed to sit out w/his 300bb stack on one table and split back to 100bbs?

That's ridiculous. If this is a tournament that is supposed to be fun and competitive, why are we taking the aspect of deepstack poker out of the equation?
