Revenge is a decent revenge flick (duh) by a female French director. It get's pretty bloody, and the female lead is a cute little thing who also happens to be a bad ass.

The 60s and 70s had their share of divided moments, but people listened, thought through things, and sometimes changed their minds and opinions. I'm not sure most are capable of that these days.
The main culprit is the internet dividing things into major extremes. Gone is the middle ground and civilized debate and conversation. These days you are either a socialistic communist believing everything should be run by bureaucratic leaders who know better than everyone else or you are a racist, mysogonistic homophobe. There is no other choice.

To be fair, Bale gives an incredible performance, as does Adams. I liked how it portrays Cheney as a cipher who really doesn't have any political ideas of his own; he only wants power. It also portrays him as a loving father, especially when it came to his gay daughter, Mary.
