I actually ended up going with the Bucherer Patravi and I'm really happy with my decision.

Couldn't find the exact image of mine but I went with this face

and a black strap.
Big ass bowl of winflakes right there. Congrats.

It's shelved, not because I lost interest or became discouraged, but because I've been balls-deep building up a new business and the load doesn't look to be lightening up any time soon.

The other day I was in the Taiwan airport and happened to run across this watch. Corum only made 999 of them for the US and 1 for Canada I believe. They are all numbered on the casing...don't know how it ended up in Taiwan but this was #90 of 999. Was so excited I almost **** myself.

Too bad the price tag is about 8K (USD). The casing is made of titanium and has awesome movement inside. It has a split second chronograph and just genuinely looks like a mean ****ing watch:

I tried that Hamilton Jazzmaster on when I was shopping a couple weeks ago, very nice. I think it was a little small for me or something, I forget.

Today is a good day, because my Longines Master Collection came in. Beautiful piece. Here's a couple shots, along with the Oris TT1 Diver I mentioned above. Some wrist shots included, because I know I always like seeing them. Pardon my blond gorilla wrists. A Stowa Flieger Date is also coming in a month or so. Look at what this thread has done to me!

And both together. They're only 1mm apart, but the Longines appears quite a bit bigger.

Nice watch, thanks for sharing, kak.

I'm left handed but I wear my watch on my left wrist because I use a computer mouse with my right hand and I because I think it looks strange on a right wrist for some reason.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I was left handed, haha. I spend a lot of time in front of a computer at my job, and I use a mouse right handed, but the watch never bothered me enough to switch arms. It just feels weird on the left arm.

The Longines doesn't look as big on me in real life as it does in the pictures. I had the strap a little too loose, and it's still pretty stiff, so it sat a little weird on my wrist.

Where did you get it, and for how much?

I've been wanting to get a Master Collection watch for a little while now, but having been having a hard time finding them. Did you get it online?

I got it at watchmaxx.com for 1775 shipped. I had a hard time finding it as well. I had my order canceled at authenticwatches.com because it was out of stock and they immediately jacked up the price by $250. Then I called a few other places and nobody had it. It was backordered from Longines, so I just ordered from watchmaxx and waited for it to come in.

My TAG F1 is awesome and I love wearing it, but with the metal band it gets kind of heavy and taxing on my wrist all day long. I do a lot of typing, and I expect that's why I feel it so often.

3 quick questions:

1. Is it just too tight? Sometimes I get annoyed though because it gets loose and flops all over. Other times my wrist swells (as someone posted on here will happen) and it gets too tight.
2. Should I get a black rubber band? If so, will a cheap 10 dollar one off ebay do while I try to figure out if I even want a rubber band or not? If I commit, I'll get the 150 dollar TAG one (obv), but for now I'd rather not drop that much on a band if I don't know if I'll like the look.
3. How easy is it to swap bands? Is it something I could do somewhat regularly?

tyty. Nice to hear it coming from you!

I do have one question actually. The model I bought came with a black rubber Bucherer strap. It looks okay but I'd really prefer metal or black leather. The rubber rubs on my skin and makes my wrist sweat a little bit but hopefully this will go away as I break the strap in.

Anyways, when it comes to replacing straps, are there any specific websites you'd recommend looking at? Do you know of any stores in the LA area that I could check out other than Tourneau?

tyty

If anyone would like to sell (or donate) a used g-shock to a poor college student please let me know. I've been dying to pick one of these up as of late.

A bit beat up (it is a g-shock, right?) but hard to beat $18.

Not mine, so I take no responsibility for your being ripped off, defrauded in anyway, etc.
