RIP Jerry Van Dyke

He was a one trick pony but usually pretty entertaining. Dick is still around though.

I'd always hated him, but he redeemed himself on Coach as Luther, perfect part that he absolutely nailed. Good show too, underrated I'd say.

I am a big Moody Blues fan but I couldn't have named any of them. That run of albums from Days of Future Passed to Seventh Sojourn was a pretty flawless string.

RIP

Some songs, because of the circumstances in which they become engraved on one's mind, become the soundtrack of our lives. This was playing in a weird Tokyo bar when I looked in the eyes of She Whom I Had Infuriated and saw that she was Infuriated but not at all Displeased.

Yes, I'm fairly certain that's him.

First real concert I saw was The Moody Blues. Opening act was The James Gang with Sleepy Joe Walsh. Must have been 1970.

One time in the late 70s, I heard that one song that goes "I'm looking for someone to change my life" on the car radio, and it inspired my to quit a ****ty job I hated the next day. Moody Blues were a little pretentious at times imo, but they could be transcendent at others.

When they were, it fit so perfectly with my concept at the time of what it meant to be English, I considered it part of their art. Admittedly, I was pretty warped by exposure to the Goon Show, That Was The Week That Was, and Monty Python.

R.I.P. to the Voice of College Football. I grew up listening to Keith Jackson call college football games in his iconic style and was sad when he retired. I'm even sadder today. Keith Jackson, dead at 89.

Keith Jackson was the best. Hard to think of college football in the 70s and 80s without him. Whoa Nelly!

Dolores O’Riordan, lead singer of The Cranberries, dead at 46.

A unique voices of the 90s and singer of one of my all-time favorite songs.

Great song. Also the whole No Need to Argue album is fantastic. The song "Empty" used to haunt me.

Always loved her voice, especially the accent and took her in the voice draft.
