Last week I was telling my kids about your job at Hershey and the Kit Kat product line. They were envious. hehe

Then I mentioned you now live in Chicago and can eat Chicago food any time you want. It just made their reaction more amplified.

I sent my oldest kid off to college today. It definitely feels weird not having him around the house this evening. I remember when I went off to college and I really didn't appreciate at the time how tough it is on the parents.

However, I'm also happy he now gets to experience one of life's grand adventures.

Sorry to hear about the difficulties, IBD. We're here trying to hold down the fort while you figure it out. Life ebbs and flows like that *****, variance. I'm rooting for an upswing for you.

Side note: I'm currently watching Take on Netflix, and "rooting" is a term for casual sex. I'm not having any of that since I'm married.

How easy it is to miss the silver lining! lol

In the past, I've kidded around with friends discussing the stereotype of how it's tough on moms/wives. But I discovered it's pretty tough on the dads too.
