I'm sure Mets put in the proper effort to understand the nuance of the Ice Cube situation. Surely he talked to Black folx and understands what their view is on it, why they are concerned, and what Ice Cube's message here is.

Mets biggest concern with Black people is how he can use them to prove his agenda. He's done it over and over and over and over again. He is a fan of exploiting things they say and making it fit to either make them look like hypocrites or to undermine their issues.

He's the perfect epitome of "but I have a Black friend".

This is just another example. He doesn't even understand the issues at play here. When provided readings in the past he ignored them. He doesn't put any effort into understanding the issues, so will continue using them for his own benefit.

I only know about the Ice Cube stuff from this thread, but no one is given a voice who isn't an an Uncle Tom, more or less.

Don't know what question is being discussed. But do want to defend the concept of gotcha questions. If a question leads to an answer that can be shown to contradict something that was said, it forces that person to adjust his stance if he wants to remain consistent. That is often a more effective way to achieve that end than merely stating why you disagree.

if someone in the "conservatives, what are your values?" thread says they think people should be entitled to the fruit of their labor, they're probably talking about wanting low taxes but if they really believed that, they couldn't support capitalism
