It's really not. It's super vague and exactly the kind of post olds like shorty and traz love to make that seem super wise and then later can seem "right" because...yeah...I'm sure the wolf composition is different than last game since it got reranded? Like theoretically its the same but most likely not.

More importantly its clearly silly. Like atak was posting a lot in the first rand then has posted zero times since then. So yeah--the thread seems different but its not like atak was a villager and then got a wolf PM and was like "k I'm just going to make zero posts d1". It started a different time a day and people have irl schedules. So yeah different people are posting.

It's a useless post that doesn't help us actually identify any wolves or villagers and can be interpreted to mean anything post-hoc.

Let me see if I can explain this. As a wolf I would have no authentic opinions. I am just happy if I can get the village to buy what I am selling. If you don’t like the reads I gave you, just hold on a minute and I will give you new ones.

As a villager I don’t post unless I have a reason and I tend to get stubborn if questioned. I realize I am posting a lot about what I would do, but that seemed like a really quick capitulation and the thread really isn’t that long.

I just don't think he can put this much thought and effort into this as a wolf. Granted, I don't remember at all any of his wolf games, but I definitely don't recall him being a stellar wolf.

What’s up Bobo? Last game you were a villager and you were fun and conversational. Now you are just absent.

If you were to fake seer right now who would you pretend to have peeked?

In general random contentless posts that are disguised as not-contentless posts are >rand to be wolves. And that is exactly the kind of post traz made there.

subtle distinction is that the post has to be disguised as having content. this is why random meta posts like "man the thread feels dead" (aaronk56 did this on the first page which is what start making me think he was a wolf) or "wolf composition *feels* different this game" set me off. Makes it seem relevant to the game so you look like you are participating but you really aren't?

Remorning.

I have skimmed the thread; today is not a good day for werewolfin'. A bit demoralized after how poor my reads were last time; I think I have turned credulous in my old age, as almost everyone looks villagery to me. Dustbox was a particular embarrassment, so now I don't want to call anyone anything.

But...

Felix's case against Tokyo!!!!! was quite villagery even if, as Tokyo responded, some of it wasn't quite right. Almost no actual case-making is getting done so far.

Low-posting players seem wolfier (irony noted), but the weirdness with the schedule may be a factor. Posting without saying anything, though, is bad, as bad as I've noted, so someone like crossnerd (a few posts, no substance that I remember), shortline (some substance, but much less than I'd usually expect), or aaronk or sixfour (but these two are just doing what they do, assuming my memory is accurate) bear scrutiny. Or, yeah, me.

I have about half an hour left, so if anyone want to to help me find a wolf that'd be nice. May be able to check in about later but unknown, so now's the time.

strongly disagree. maybe its just rand(), but i don't see why it would be >rand to be wolf. do you have any empirical evidence?

Just seems like a lot of work
but you're discouraging other people to do it, why? you give this soft renouncement of "is a bit much" to imply that it's unnecessary. even if its not a direct attempt to throw shade, that's what the tone of it implies and how people will read it. then you immediately backpedal and say well, it could help, but its a lot of work, i never said it wouldn't help. no, you didn't, but tone-wise, you did

there's a lot of these types of posts from birdman all day

And acting like me knowing the SK game mechanics better than the angel game mechanics when I was the SK last game is wolfy?

A wolf much more likely to understand that an angel can't protect the same person in consecutive nights than a villager.

Meh, birdman's point about contentless posts versus faux-content posts is good. It is irritating that following that logic would dictate that blatantly content-free posters aren't the highest-value targets for [I have to decide what word to use here].

how is it irrelevant? he claims to have thoroughly thought through the ramifications of being SK, but he misses a pretty crucial thing

it caught my eye because we were wolves last game, yes? i thoroughly read the roles because of that and it was immediately obvious

it's not that the PEOPLE are different, it's that the active participants in the thread and the resulting discussion don't feel w/w/w/w/w/w like they did the previous game

I think this is most often the case when someone gets votes as soon as d1 kicks off. Some people vote him for nothing, then somehow it sticks and becomes a real wagon for nothing. Villagers see something that isn't there and want to cling to their early posts and wolves find it really easy to join in.

See: mets in our last game.
just got to this post, and it's what i alluded to earlier re: aao

also felix's opening post prior to this was villagery, even though the logic/conclusions were bad

fwiw I had a great idea for this and started typing a post where I had a perfect reply to made-up quote, but decided that it was too angleshooty and disrespectful to the mods. So I wont do that. Just letting you know that I'm an extraordinarily decent person.

watchlist
YouKnowWho (thought sadness was oversold, but this was villagery by shortline, status unsure)
Kukra (due to post Sun Tzu pointed out)
wdcbooks (random vibe, low weight)
Kruze (forced wolf read, low weight d1)
Toyko! (Felix's case was good)
this list feels like hot garbage
