Yea, I'll be significantly decreasing my traffic on here as well. So many very smart posters in the politics forum, what a waste. If Mat loathes the politics so much, why wouldn't he just stay away from it, rather than nuke one of 2p2's most popular forums? Seems like such a rash and childish decision.

However, she did knowingly lie to the US public to help cover up the obstruction of justice of a criminal meglomaniac narcissist by falsely stating the rank and file of the FBI supported firing its director, and the special counsel strongly suggests the firing should be the subject of impeachment and/or criminal charges after Trump leaves office.

I know some people don't mind criminal conspiracies that undermine and weaken the US government and the rule of law informed by truth, but I personally feel she should do at least 15 years in prison.

I'm pretty sure I skew pretty far to the right of the majority of the politics posters, but overall (with a couple of exceptions I put on ignore) I felt I was treated pretty well. I also felt I learned a fair amount about a lot of things, and had some discussions that made me think about some stuff I otherwise might have passed on. '

I fully understand that the owners can shut down any or all of the forums if they desire - they're not a public utility. But I'm sorry if that's their decision. If it comes back in any sort of useful form, if someone would drop me a PM I'd appreciate it.

I'm just going to say this about Miss OOT 2018. You blokes were warned early on in that competition several times to not politard it up yet that is what you exactly did. What you did not realise and should have and it was really up to Wookie to better marshall his troops was that what you were doing was a massive disservice to your home which is the politics forum by acting in such a way that it drew light, indeed negative light, to your forum. And from there well we all know what happened when Mason intervened, didn't we (which again should have been a further warning that this could eventuate and that forum needed a complete overhaul including by dismissing the 2 mods in charge that led to the forum being placed on tender hooks).

It's amazing the hill one can die on when one is really looking for a hill to die on.

I'm also going to say this at the time that Mason gave you that warning was that it was the opportunity to not only get completely new blood as moderators but it was also a time, given the underlying reason for it which was about the need for more balanced debate rather than the echo chamber that it has become, was for each and every exiled member to have their exile reviewed or overturned if it was clear that what those members were doing was trying to provide that opposing view to the majority and bring that balanced debate to the forum. That would have been a good way of showing Mason that you were serious about keeping a politics only discussion forum on this site rather than the window dressing you did.

I wasn't referring to the oot thing, but as a former oot poster, the AOC thing was funny. She's pretty hot, and only added some class to the place.

This is probably a good time to just reflect on what I've been saying and where we are now and whether it is best just to say nothing or perhaps even say hey bundy I'm sorry and realise you did have a point after all. Your best chance now is Well named and I hope he takes on modding of some form of a politics forum even if it is not how it used to be and they are only for threads that he starts. He can then give you a watching brief for a little while if you blokes actually act civil, especially to those that don't agree with you, then you may be given a bit more rope. But I can't see that in the short term.
