That's because there are no 200k pots being played right now, when they are people post them.

It's also hard to come up with a specific set of rules for what hands can be posted. People are complaining about 5k PLO 6max hands right now, but when isildur went on that 500k day in mostly those games, people were happy they were being posted.

We should come up with something though, most of the options have been detailed in above posts. I vote 2p2 gives a few posters (pick me!) rights to moderate just that thread. If nothing else, I will at least clear up all the worthless Hastings and Isildur garbage (more if we could come to an agreement on what kind of hands are allowed to be posted).

Bump.

One of the most frequent HH posters in the thread just stopped because of all the bs going on in the thread. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE.

I know it's NVG and it's kinda expected, but it's one of the few threads (maybe the only one?) that a lot of non-NVGers read frequently, including high stakes regs etc. Seriously, either let's brainstorm a good solution (like a low-content thread) or just give me some modding powers (just for that thread!) so I can clean it up for a while and hopefully the thread can be what it used to be.

edit: As a side note, I don't think users reporting more posts is really going to help. The problem isn't that there are ban-worthy posts, it is that there are hundreds of useless posts clogging up the thread. You really want us to go through and report every single post that we don't think should be in the thread? Obviously, if something is done about this we need to come up with some solid rules for what is/isn't allowed in that thread.

just move isildur1 related posts (sans when he is playing say 50/100+) to the dedicated isldur1 thread located http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29...thread-956893/
and 95% of your problems will be fixed immediately

In my opinion the only issue at the moment is the amount of people whining about things completely unrelated to the high stakes action.

"Thread has gone downhill"
"LOL 5k SNG's"
"Lol 25/50????"
"This thread hasn't gone downhill"
"Lol Isildur fan boys, always saying he runs bad"
"Im fed up of people moaning like I am now so I am not posting HHs'

There was 1 day where the chatter went overboard when Isildur was playing Hastings but other than that this is being completely blown out of proportion and if people stopped posting that rubbish the topic would be no different to 6 months ago.

It would be great if there were a thread somehow limited to the HH's and results of 25/50+ games.

Being able to right click on a post and ignore that person might even do the trick.

This is exactly spot on.

If people would stop whining making a million "boohoo this thread is so bad" posts, the thread would not be that bad. The people whining need to realise they ruin the thread more than Isildur fanboys when they make their useless bitchy posts.

Now, SmokeyJ apparently wants people to stop posting HH's, which is just plain stupid. I hope nobody takes that suggestion seriously.

Lol when did I say that? I congratulated everyone for being stupid and chasing away the most frequent HH poster, and then I said I was sick of the thread too so I wasn't gonna post anymore HH's. I don't really know where you're coming from, as I obviously don't think that would be a good solution and would prefer it if at least one person did keep posting hh's.

Also guys, try to realise that the posts complaining about the state of the thread are surely less than the posts we are talking about. There have been multiple 'lurkers' who have come in and said they can't stand to read it anymore. That's a pretty bad sign for how a thread is doing considering the 'regs' will read it no matter what.

Whatever, doesn't seem like 2p2 cares enough to do anything about it anyway.

KoC, did you report those posts to the mods? From the NVG guidelines, which are here...

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29...osting-258975/

"No memes, stupid levels that hijack threads, or other no-content posts."

So if you haven't reported them already, please do. They're off-topic and no-content, so they're not allowed. Mods can't possibly see every single post in their forums, so you have to help them out if you want the forum to become better.

I didn't report them unfortunately, will make an effort to do so in future.

So does anyone know what are the procedures for getting these things done? Who is in charge of 2+2? When could we get this done?

Let's get this thing done guys!

Totally agree with this. Besides the Hasting accident that i agree exceeded the nvg limits, it is normally a fun thread for the masses.
Btw a thread here about it is gonna be biased if you want the "people"'s opinion.
I belong to those that are more annoied by people bitching about how great the thread was (????) than by Isil fanboys.

Smokey: who is the poster that left?

Anyone who posts libel in the thread get snap-banned or whatever the acronymn is. Whether it's to another poster, player, ect.

Also, there's already an Isildur catch all thread, how do we get that to be the main venue to rant about him. I think unless he's play NL10000 (or plo) or higher it should stay out of the thread and given since he reemerged, there's only been 4 times that that's happened (3 challenges and once against jungle).

At the end of the day it's just astonishing that the new posters completely missed the unwritten etiquette of the site. Even as of two years ago, the new players wouldn't dare post in the HSNL thread in the NL forum, they would lurk for months before posting and not get 1000 pots in 3 days, etc. This new bread is literally going to destroy everything attractive about the forums on this sit.
You're the man now Dog. GL and welcome to the ranks of the Mods!

More mods banning (for some days) off topic posters.
By off topic I mean we should accept
-hh's
-chatlogs
-hands discussion (odds/play)
-session comments

That should be all...

Already happened. Modded Jamie Platinum to manage it. For now we are keeping it combined but cleaning up as much of the crap as possible. It is Jamie's call now, with input from other folks in that thread.
