I'd have to be seriously deluded to consider myself "lucky" to have not lost money.
It's funny that of the messages I posted, you chose to reply to this one...the one that matters not.

In order for you to over come the situation you're in you need to understand a few things, and come to terms with them.

1. Poker is very stressful when it's your only source of income
2. Poker is very very stressful when it's your only source of income and it's micro stakes. (i.e. you don't have the luxury of a huge day to compensate for a small month)
3. Downswings happen, and they're not entirely dependent on RNG, variance, etc. You are probably going through a period of downgraded play as a result of variance. Own up to it.
4. WORK ON YOUR MINDSET. Posting a negative appointed thread in BBV isn't going to do ****. It only shows that you're still affected by variance, and that it's getting the best of you.
5. Lose your ego. If that means dropping down in stakes, so be it. If that means picking up some side work for a month or two in order to right your ship, so be it. Get over yourself, and realize playing micro-stakes poker for a living is very difficult, and a part time job might be necessary.

Good luck man.

Goes without saying that this has been hell. 70/30 , 80/20 , doesn't really make a difference , I just lose the majority of my showdowns no matter how much im favored.

I'm really starting to believe in the doomswitch.
OMG, so something that has a 5 % chance of happening happened (you running at 4 % over 3 months)?! That's so sick, and something that horrible has never happened to me nor anyone else I know that play poker professionally! At least you're keeping a clear head and clearly understanding what you're going through ("I just lose the majority of my showdowns no matter how much im favored")!

Seriously though, if you're a winning player, I know this sucks, but if you start thinking you don't "deserve" what is happening to you, you've already lost. Best of luck.

Start keeping stats on how often a bigger stack wins an all in with an underdog call.

The result will be around 63%.

Have a look at the FT replay on stars.tv of the sun mill 25/0. The bigger stack won all ins 100%.

Stars programming is a fraud and the PPA need to force an audit.

This is so nitpicky. Everybody and his dog uses SS Av.ROI when quoting their SNG performance.

If you actually look at his entry fee graph you'll find that his ROI at the $15 buyin is 12.5%. The reason 95% of his games on the bar chart are at the $20 buyin is because that's what SS rounds the $16 games up to. The $20 data point is meaningless because the sample is so tiny due to the fact that there are no $20 turbos. This guy is a $16 specialist and the data proves that he crushes them, as does the star next to his name. Really, enough of the pedantry - any $16 reg will tell you that Sippin_Criss is one of the very best there is to be found at the level he plays. Picking apart data points (inaccurately) will do nothing to refute that. So, my point remains, if one of the biggest sickos at this buyin is making 12.5%, then someone with a 10% ROI at this buyin level (ie OP) can definitely be considered someone who crushes those games.

I just read this thread.
I m a complete newbie at poker. being able to make "only" 1000$ per month by playing poker would represent a mega jackpot in my life. So maybe the situation isnt "that" desperate for OP

i like how newbs think $1000 from poker in month is something insane. when i was 5 years old, $1000 would be like million for me, yeah. i could def live ok with $1000 in month in my country, i don't know if u can live ok in Canada with that income, i guess not. so cut this "OMFG, i would kill for $1000 in month" BS, op has clearly stated that $1000 isn't enuf for him.

OP, why don't you show us a graph of your Expected winnings (using all-in EV) vs actual winnings. You can get this graph by importing all your SNG hand histories into Holdem Manager or use the all-in EV SNG tool in the Software forum. That will show us and yourself if you are truly running bad or not. Until you get some actual data then please stop whining.

OP I read this thread, if you read this:

1. You crush 9-man 16.50 sng's
2. You are running bad
3. You are in a bad mind-set
4. You are insanely +ev in terms of staking
5. YOU NEED TO GET STAKED AND GO ROBUSTO!!!!

srs, there is about a 99.9999% chance that people in the marketplace would jump on a chance to stake you, and it will clearly help you to know that you are able to have run bad while still getting your rent/food paid for. Plz go get a stake, and maybe work up higher limits, and come back to this thread in 3-4 months an even bigger winner.

wow, just read this whole thing.

I used to do a fair amount of session reviews with OP and unless the 16's have doubled in difficulty then 4% is def. waaaaaaaay under expectation for his ability.

It always fascinates me that people like OP give credit to their skill when they win, but only outside factors seem to be responsible for their losses.
