What is your problem exactly? I would assume the highest paying job are in finance. Definitely not in philosophy lol.

umm, horrible advice. An engineering degree would have yielded higher pay. You can make a crapload of money in I-Banking and some corporate finance jobs, but you aint getting those jobs with a finance BS from a state school. I graduated from UIC, which has a highly ranked comp sci program. IF the adviser only had a single **** to give, that would have been a much better recommendation. I mean, software engineers can make 100k+ year 1 out of undergrad, the avg salary for a finance grad, when i graduated, was $47kish.

And most "finance" jobs get lumped in with either sales or accounting, which are both things that I strongly dislike.

Additionally, when i graduated, I-Banking commpanies were sucking up philo majors bc it meant they were critical thinkers, and could be trained to learn the finance part easily.

At the end of the day I took the advisers word at face value and didn't do much research on my own so its all on me baby, plus i do enjoy a lot of the things i have been able to do in a finance role, smiley face

Happened this weekend in Denmark. Someone broke into a summer house and drank some of the owners liquor, ate some food from the freezer and slept in the bed. He/they then put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher, cut the hegdes/grass in the garten and fixed a broken fence. He/they then wrote an apology letter in french and left without stealing anything.

He probably felt sorry for the owner, because Aabenraa is located on the seashore not far from the German border. And we all know what that means...

Every place in Denmark is located near the German border

ok so the Denmark civil engineering program is just weak taking 5 or 6 years to get the degree. At my university which is one of the best engineering schools in the world the degree only took 4 years but was intense.

tbh there is no increase in happiness after you get to 70k a year. studies have proven this.

There's different levels of engineers. You can get your bachelor in engineering in 3 years, or "diploma engineer" in 3,5-4 years. If you want to become a civil engineer, you have to study 2 more years on top of your bachelor.

Fyi, civil engineers scores hotter girls than standard engineers. Studies have proven this.

Yea, that's only if you are a loser

4 years to be a civil engineer in Aust.

We spend 4 years actually teaching you how to be a Civil Engineer though. Not only two years.

If you're an engineer and you are only earning 70k a year, you are doing it wrong.

I have never felt much of a happiness boost when I got into a higher pay scale. It helps you retire earlier though. I'm so pissed off with my job at present, I'm seriously considering at least temporary retirement (supplemented by live poker moneys)

This is the same in New Zealand. However Sammy tries to argue his programme is inferior.

Income depends where you live. I don't earn 70K but average adult salary in my hometown is 40K. You can live like a king for 70K here. Housing and general cost of living is very very cheap.
