I love when the morality police come out of the woodwork. I am one of those that shipped him money, and the fact that he played out of his bankroll doesn't bother me one bit. Did we ask him to sign a contract that we'd only send him money 'if' he abides by BRM rules? Hell no. I shipped him money because of the sheer pleasure and enjoyment his tales gave me. I RECEIVED over an hour of happiness reading about his journey, so I gladly contributed money just like I would to pay money to read a good book or watch a good movie.

Gifts don't come with 'conditions', and I think it's pretty funny when people that didn't send you money whine about what you do with it.

All that being said, there's some good BRM advice in the past couple pages, so yeah if you want to have a successful online poker career, you should probably heed that...but you already know that so wtv.

20 more days, you're almost there!

LOL @ morality police. Cheers man. I appreciate that. This thread aint for them, it's for people like you, and if it bothers them that people liked my thread and cared enough that they wanted to help me out, too bad!

Gotta quote some lyrics here:

Pseudo-morals work real well
On the talk shows for the weak
Selective judgement, good-guy badges
Don't mean a **** to me.

- Anyone recognize this amazing lyricist?

Thanks again Ravageur. I keep going with this thread because people like you like it. It's my contribution to these forums that provide me with whatever I need, at whatever hour.

----------------------------------------------------

Day 22 has brung some bad news. Bed 8 will not be joining us for much longer. His blood tests have shown some alarming results in regards to his liver function, and he will only be kept in another 2 - 3 days, with dosing ceasing immediately. Hopefully it's just some minor illness, like a cold, and not something more serious. We're sure gonna miss him.

Too bad it wasn't Bed 1, the guy who recently confessed that if it wasn't for Jesus' love he would kill people... People that rejected him, people that swore, people that were bad drivers. Yeah. We share our quarters with a psycho. I kinda felt sorry for him at first but he lies there casting judgment on us all the time and complaining about everything. And he does things like come and sit in the room where we're all hanging out, and then put his earplugs in so he can't hear us. Not headphones with music, but earplugs, the kind we wear when going to sleep. Even the nurses are freaked out by him. But, he is our roommate, and we've still got 20 days left, so we all have to try and get along.

This is exactly what I want to do, but the casino in this town rarely has Omaha It really sucks, they have a pathetic little poker zone, which not long ago suffered another blow when the casino took away 3 of the tables to put in video blackjack. Some of the regulars are great guys and girls, but the zone itself is sh*t. Huge rake, don't know exact rate but seems like they take 10%, and if you're a PLO player like myself, you've got hardly any chance of a table opening up. It plays a big part in me being a mainly online player. Still, I have played 1/2 PLO there twice, and each time did really well. Just a shame that it hardly ever is requested.

Cliffs would kill it Jack. But if you want some kind of summary...

Made this thread and it was received well, people seemed to like hearing my story. Some kind folk even sent me money (like you), and got me back in the game. Set table/buy in limits on Stars to enforce BRM. Many people offered invaluable advice, which helped me immensely. Bought memebership with DC, and downlaoded videos. Some time after I found that my problems were greater than I thought, and that they had not been magically fixed. Up, down, up, down. Shipped a $3.30 988 man tournament, had 2+2 rail cheering me on, incredible experience, won $688. Broke BRM rules and played one $55 sng, lost first hand with A high flush against straight flush. Did not chase losses, withdrew Fulltilt roll with intention of putting it on Stars. Have run bad since, felt tilt creeping back. Now, the exercise bike, my link to sanity, is not working. Nothing seems to be working, and I've just been reading some other threads and feel like I should not be complaining about anything, some people don't even know where their next meal is coming from.

I know those weren't cliffs, but hopefully they'll bring you up to speed.

Everyone out there, I want you do something.

I want you to do something that makes you feel good. Whatever it is (as long as it doesn't hurt anybody ldo). Kiss your loved one, pat your cat, look at the sky, breathe a breath of fresh air, run your treadmill, eat some chocolate, drink a beer, read your Tony Korfman book... anything good. Take down a sick pot, flop the nuts, have them hold, win a flip, suckout on the guy who just sucked out on you, turn a profit, river an ace, whatever. Exercise bike fail and runbad have put me in a bad mood and I can't feel anything good in this place, I feel like I'm in a cage. I want you to do something that makes you feel good. You can flame me, I don't care, as long as it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy.

in b4 OP has lost his mind

with that many guys who like poker in the same room, do you guys ever play live games with real cards together? even without chips, you can find something to bet with (toothpicks etc) -- or are you confined to beds too often?

I can't believe you lost $8k (with $1k alone on a HU SNG), and now to recoup the losses, you are using your body for drug testing. Here's a better idea:

- Apply for credit cards
- Use cards to fund deposits
- If you lose, declare bankruptcy
- If you win, cash out and pay off cards. Use proceeds to build a better life and never gamble again

Clearly playing poker isn't something that is a long-term solution for you. You know, just sayin......
