Ive been a loyal fanboy of Opera since back when you still had to pay for it.

So I came across this chick i went to school with and used to like the other day. I had heard from a friend that she was back in town and she drove a blue VW bug.

So I had just washed my car and went to get something to eat and was driving along this one road in the right lane. One car up and in the left lane was this old blue VW bug and I wondered if it was her and so I get up next to her and yelled out her name and she had the window down and heard me and looked at me, then she went to turn left and I turned right to turn around and try to catch up with her. She had tuned into a gas station to get air so i talked to her.


turns out she's going to school for computer science and she works in IT. She said she's a nerd. She's also a hudge pothead (like me) and likely sexual deviant, also like me.

And ofc she drives a Ted Bundy car which is awesome ... she's really really smart, she's almost like a hippy, is into cars and can work on them. and she's hot

Quick question guys:

When I leave my laptop charger plugged into the wall with a fully charged laptop, will it consume power at capacity so long as it's plugged in? Or will the AC adapter reduce use?

Adobe Flash and Apple QuickTime.

Secunia always flags these as insecure. I redownload the same file and Secunia says its fine now. The same is true for Apple Quicktime.

I feel like I am doing this the hard way. What should I be doing to keep my laptop secure from these programs vulnerabilities?

BTW: I run a Sony Vaio laptopn with Windows 7 and all the recommended programs in sticky. That I know of. I'm just savvy enough to be dangerous. Can you help me be safe?

yes. you can also get little widgets that sit between the keyboard and the PC (ie, plugged like an adaptor in the usb socket) that can record key strokes sent through it.

I am having trouble finding a computer with certain specs.

Laptop:
DVI dual link output (must support a 30" external at 2560 by 1600)
native 1900 by 1200 res, 1080p will do i guess
SSD
windows 7 64 bit
4 gb ram min
near high end specs on everything else

or

Desktop:
same as laptop but with support for 3 monitors. One at 2560 by 1600, two at 1600 by 1200


I would like to see a ton of options. If I'm allowed to offer hand history reviews I will if someone shows me a bunch of computers with these options.

get a alienware M11x or M15x or M17x. they come with displayport which will drive your 30" screen.

the M15x and M17x both have 1920x1080 screens.

then, buy a SSD for $300 separately and spend 3 minutes to install it yourself.


for your desktop, any ATI 5700 or 5800 series card will do what you want. Some other 5xxx cards might work too. Just get whatever other desktop you want, and get a 57xx or a 58xx video card added in.
