The issue is RWB's 13.1 BPM came in 5 games while Lebron's came in 18 games. With PG in 6 games this postseason his BPM dropped to 4.5 this year. Lebron averages 11.1 BPM in the playoffs over 240 career games. RWB is at 7.0 which is still very good but 8th vs Lebron's definitive #1 if you're going to use that stat. Lebron had an 18 the one year they lost to Orlando in the playoffs. I guess in both cases their teammates kind of suck and they're very good.

If team dynamics suffer (particularly on defense), and you are replacing one guy with a marginally better player (in 2015 they were very close in productivity) the team will be worse.

When you say this about a bunch of sinfle games it's not about a single game anymore. He had a chance to win it on his home floor and couldn't take the game over.

But I don't even see how it's a spicy hot take. The greatest player in the history of the game when he had a 1 pt lead at home with a handful of minutes left in a finals game was stone cold, and on both ends of the floor.

The stat that matters there is getting the W. Getting swept in the finals is not gonna be very goatish. Not when the other team arguably played their worst ball and you still couldn't rise to meet them in a must win.
