I actually find the Pumpking overbearing. It's like drinking a heavy pumpkin pie. It's good for like 8 oz before I get sick of it.

My favorite pumpkin beer is Brooklyn Brewery's Post Road Pumpkin. Just about perfect.

As I was getting roped into a classic era L&O for the billionth time, I decided to check amazon for the whole series. The complete series, not even blu-ray, is a cool $450.

When I lived on the west coast and Thursday night nba games ended relatively early, I loved watching an ep or two of L&O afterwards.

snap. didn't know they had classic on there.

Of course not sure I'd ever just sit down with the plan to watch L&O. But it's the GOAT show that's randomly on and ropes you in.

Law and Order is basically what I majored in in college. Skipped so much class cause it was on.

Not saying I'd throw back several PINTS of Pumking at the PUB. But it's pretty great if you're in the mood for a pumpkin beer that comes on strong.

It's been a couple years since I've had Pumpkinhead, so maybe it's the nostalgia speaking. I'll give Post Road Pumpkin a shot.

I was wondering if anyone had tried this, since I've passed it at the store a few times. I'll have to pick some up this week. Their website claims it has a "biscuity malt center" which sounds like my kind of beer.

I'd also highly recommend Brooklyn's Pennant Ale for anyone who hasn't had it.

I don't really like the taste of pumpkins and i don't know what beeradvocate is (though I can guess pretty successfully i'm sure), but I enjoyed the Pumpkinhead. 9 times out of 10, if I'm drinking beer it is a tallboy of PBR or a giant can of Miller High Life because I am poor, so my beer knowledge/taste is probably lacking.

This has been my go-to pumpkin beer for about ten years now

I keep trying other ones but I've never been particularly impressed. The Post Road isn't nearly as flavorful as Buffalo Bill's. I don't remember the Dogfish Head one being anything special either although I might have to try it again. And so on.

I generally trust the bros and they put this in the realm of "worst beer ever" so I think I'll be spending my money on something else

DFH is pretty good from what I remember. Don't really think its worth 10 bucks for a 4 pack so haven't bought it in a while.

Never seen that buffalo bills pumpkin Nath, that a southern brewery?

Their website says California, but I've been able to find that beer in Texas at least as far back as 2004.

BTW, my pick for "beer that sounds like it should taste much better than it actually does": Rogue Voodoo Donut Maple Bacon Ale.

Sounds like it should be delicious, but mostly tastes like Artificial Chemical-Based Maple Flavoring.

BB's is akin to shipyard. just pumpkin soda imo. Neither are awful, just better options out there.

Not a huge fan of DFH's either. Probably good at what it is, just not what I'm looking for. It's almost more like a winter warmer with a lot of spices if I recall correctly.

That rogue beer sounds disgusting. Rogue stouts and brown nut ale are bomb though.

Not even sure why I'm commenting I gave up beer for gin.

You pump down gin and tonics with Mildred and Agnes at Bridge Club kc?

I've seen that Bacon Maple Ale at the liquor store and was wondering what it tasted like. Had heard good stuff about the other Rogue offerings so I'm kind of surprised. The other stuff they have that I've been wondering about is this Ole Smokey Moonshine with cherries in it, but it is like $25 for a single mason jar sized offering.
