Am a huge SotL fan as well, and you can read my stuff from the last two pages.

Hannibal is badly written and incredibly performed. As a fan of the movies, it's really hard to watch. They including certain important pieces of the Pre-Red Dragon story which are neat and there's an homage to all the movies (including ManHunter) in almost every episode, but it was written like they planned on doing one season, then realized midway through they'd get a second, the realized midway through that they were going to get a third and the **** just went crazy.

The story makes little sense and the characters have the worst case of "What sane person would do that/have that reaction?" since The Walking Dead

The "Better Call Saul" show has already been renewed for a second season.

When does Better Call Saul premiere?

Delayed until 2015 but not sure exactly when.

I'll call it right now sight unseen: better call Saul will be better than Hannibal. YouTube videos of animals farting is better than Hannibal, as well

I have Season 2 of Arrow as on the same level of Fargo.

Not bad.

S2 of Arrow is pretty overrated imo. It's a fun show no doubt but the "ZOMG more reveals, more DC stuff, let's cram it all in there" is a bit annoying. The entire show doesn't feel coherent and has a "made up on the go" vibe.

Barry Allen storyline was cringe worthy. The lead character remains the posterboy for wooden acting (watch out Keanu!).

It had Slade being a bad ass and other cool **** happen.

Stuff happens on that show. The plot progresses rapidly. Great change of pace.

Sort of a lesser version of Hannibal. Another **** happening show.

Orphan Black is the only show worth a damn now.

Fargo was really good through like 6 episodes but after that the incompetence of the local law enforcement and the FBI really annoyed me. I can buy the local PD being noobs but the FBI agents were just ******ed which is much harder to buy. Still a good show but I was way higher on it halfway through the season.

You sound like a lol disappointed book reader who was bothered by changes in the story.

Confession: I've never read any of Harris' books (though I'm obv familiar with them), I've only seen the movies.

Still, Hannibal's problem is two fold. First, it's trying to tie into the source material but it's using a bunch of **** too quickly/things that ought not be used. They're playing the story out 50% as if it's going to end where Red Dragon picks up and 50% as if it's a stand alone story. That just doesn't work.

Second, they wrote the FBI as way too good. Not necessarily that they're unstoppable, just that the amount of data they have and can deduct puts Hannibal in a position where he can't do anything logically but get caught, and yet time and time again he finds a way out of it for no real reason. It's not that he's so smart and is able to avoid it, he just randomly does things that allow him to escape without any reasoning.

I really wish they'd have done Hannibal without attaching it to Harris' stuff. Obviously they'd have had to change the names and some of the setting, but it seems like they're just too bound by the originals to really break free. That, or just do all 3 movies (lol Hannibal Rising) in the course of the series, that would be pretty great.

I agree it's somewhat nitty and as I said I do think it's a good show overall but imo it was on pace to be a great show and stumbled just a bit.

I'll take Fargo vs. Hannibal straight up total Emmys 2014 for like 20$. Paypal or Stars/FTP is fine.

Fargo is more likely to lol Emmies style steal some Emmies away. Hannibal will
probably receive three noms max.
