He's apparently the new Transporter.

I'm just shocked the guy from Treme was available.

I read somewhere that Daario was recast so it wasn't that annoying to me, but if I hadn't known it was coming, it would have been really jarring. He shares zero similarities with the previous actor, what were they thinking?

how does anyone like Dany? i understand that she's a nice, well intended person so i don't exactly mean as a person moreso as a character. like outside of her being really hot does anyone actually enjoy her scenes at all? she's just so incredibly whiny & entitled. i dont have time for your trust...do this for me. ive heard your promises...do that for me. WHERE ARE MY DRAGONS!? its just annoying at this point.

I don't really care that much about what happens beyond the wall either. The Kings Landing scenes are always the best part of the show, they just have all the best characters interacting together. Dany is off doing her own thing, Jon Snow is off doing his own thing, Bran is off doing his own thing, Kings Landing is where the action is.

Had no idea there was a new Daario, so that sucked. Too much Shae and Sansa. Too little Joffrey, although that statue was elite.

Favorite scene: Joff dissing Jamie's meager entry in Kingsguard book.

ETA: Biggest LOL moment: Ser Jorah telling Khalessi that dragons will never be tamed....WAIT FOR IT....not even by their mother.

The best part is how he watches (stalks) her, just waiting for the dragon to do some dragon thing so he can KHALEESI his way into the scene.

new daario was very jarring. otoh the old actor was hilariously over the top so i'm ok with it.

i get that he's supposed to be an over the top character but every time that guy was on screen all i could focus on was him acting. dude was acting all over the place. it was like nicolas cage had taken a supporting role on the show.

don't know why daario was such a hard part to cast, seems like they should have been able to bait any random table at chateau marmont with two coconut waters and an eightball and within minutes there would have been plenty of smarmy charm to choose from. But I haven't read the books so don't really know what they're shooting for. (I've heard Johnny Depp would have been perfect.)

You would think they would have got the new guy to shave to at least resemble old guy, but ye, I wouldn't say he was awful, but its like a completely different character. Different mannerisms, different type of conversation. Old Dario didn't seem like the type of guy who would insult Grey Worm like that for example.

This is what bothers me as well. I get that sometimes you have to recast. I had zero problems with the mountain recast. They also recast Beric who made a season 1 appearance.

But it wasn't just a different actor. There were no consistencies to the character himself. A new actor doesn't excuse him being written differently. And btw wtf with greyworm giving a **** about walking with her. This guy is supposed to not be a human being. Yet he's disobeying for such a ******ed reason.

They pretty much just did that scene so they could have Dany say WHERE IS DARIO NHARIS really loud and slowly to drive home "hey everyone make sure you pay attention to this" and it took me out of the show for at least a few minutes.

Rest of the ep still slayed it though
