cphoya got the best land imo (legit #1 overall value contender imo), nauru is literally headed to failed state status as it is even without da pox and taipans. my buddy has been to nauru andconfirms it's the most depressing place on the planet, the daily lives of the current inhabitants pretty much comes down to:
eat canned food
contemplate suicide

has some pretty beaches tho so it's got that going for it

One of their leaders died of diabetes which is very common there apparently

Must be all the sodium in the packaged food

If the snakes don't get you the 'betes will, o and the smallpox is a concern too I guess

are the citizens of our fine countries allowed to own firearms other than the ones we grant them? if yes, only ones they have circa 2014 or are they allowed to obtain whatever they want given their situation?

Stalin > Hitler imo. At least Hitler wasn't running his country into the ground.

Stalin isn't my favorite lolCommie leader, but he's definitely the most reliable in terms of death. There's a few others that are just as equally disillusioned, then a massive drop off.

Round 3, Pick #27:

Apparently these little guys mainly live in rain forests. I'm pretty sure it rains in Rome.

Spoiler:

Quote:
The average dose carried will vary between locations, but the average wild P. terribilis is generally estimated to contain about one milligram of poison, enough to kill about 10,000 mice. This estimate will vary in turn, but most agree this dose is enough to kill between 10 and 20 humans, which correlates to up to two African bull elephants. This is roughly 15,000 humans per gram.
Spoiler:

Quote:
The golden poison frog's skin is densely coated in alkaloid poison, one of a number of poisons common to dart frogs (batrachotoxins), which prevents nerves from transmitting impulses, leaving the muscles in an inactive state of contraction. Alkaloid batrachotoxins can be stored by frogs for years after the frog is deprived of a food-based source, and such toxins do not readily deteriorate, even when transferred to another surface
Quote:
The golden poison frog, like most other poisonous frogs, stores its poison in skin glands. Due to their poison, the frogs taste vile to predators; P. terribilis poison kills whatever eats it
Quote:
The equivalent of just two grains of table salt (less than 1 milligram), flowing in a person’s bloodstream, can cause death in mere minutes. In fact, animals can die just by touching a spot where a golden dart frog has recently been.
Can't touch it. Can't eat it. The best part is that these things will be chilling in the gardens/near the crops (the ones that aren't destroyed by hundreds or thousands of screw propelled vehicles) chowing down on beatles and flies. Leave some of that toxin on the food my people will be eating. k thx

Country - Vatican City
Vehicle - Screw propelled thing
Animal - Golden Poison Dart Frog

There's a very good reason I didn't draft that, and it's this:

Quote:
the high toxicity of P. terribilis appears to be due to the consumption of small insects or other arthropods, and one of these may truly be the most poisonous creature on Earth. Scientists have suggested the crucial insect may be a small beetle from the family Melyridae. At least one species of these beetles produces the same toxin found in P. terribilis. The Melyridae are cosmopolitan. Their relatives in Colombian rainforests could be the source of the batrachotoxins found in the highly toxic Phyllobates frogs of that region.
Quote:
Since easily purchased foods are not rich in the alkaloids required to produce batrachotoxins, captive frogs do not produce toxins and they eventually lose their toxicity in captivity. In fact, many hobbyists and herpetologists have reported that most dart frogs will not consume ants at all in captivity, though ants constitute the larger portion of their diets in the wild, likely due to the unavailability of the natural prey species of ants to captive frog keepers. Though all poison frogs lose their toxicity when deprived of certain foods, and captive-bred golden poison frogs are born harmless. . .
So unless you have the correct beetle/ant, only found in the South American rain forest (apparently), your frogs are harmless.

Unless they arrive all poisoned up, as it were. Then they're awesome.

I agree that if they're just brought from the rain forest to the Vatican they're gonna wreck people.

EDIT: Yeah in that case the poisonous-frog-infested-Vatican is hilarious.

I think for intent of this draft that he gets them all poisoned up the whole time

We are moving animals all around the world to our countries and not needing to care about if they would survive there or not

This is also hilarious, and perhaps the most SE-appropriate fact I can imagine:

Quote:
Golden poison frogs are curious, bold, and seemingly aware of the fact that they are next to invulnerable, making no attempt to conceal themselves and even flaunting their striking colours to intimidate potential predators.

You pick one weapon for everyone to have. They will never acquire another weapon. I mean they can pick up rocks and throw them and stuff or cut a tree down and fashion something out of it but they will never develop any other item that is a man-made mass-produced weapon.

So what do his citizens eat for meat? Veggies? How do those survive with corkscrews driving over them 24/7? No fish. If dead birds fall from the sky they can eat those.

Things in the Vatican city are going to be very downtrodden.

I do have to admit that I can't really see where fresh water comes from under the "no trade" rule, which means the crops can only be watered by the rain. . .

even if you dump frogs straight from the jungle they're all gonna be dead immediately due to non-tropical conditions. then even if they do survive the next generation is gonna be completely harmless, so within literally 1 generation your society is gonna be eating delicious frogslegs

no getting around it
