Was gonna say, there's no way it would go unchallenged if they just said "k, obviously that last skull is black, no need to see anything, let's just wheel this table away real quick". Even the sketchiest of game shows is gonna have transparency with that sort of thing.

I feel like the show will never reach its peak level again without an influx of really talented and physically imposing guys, combined with eliminations that are much more physical.

Of course the producers will always heavily focus on the drama in the house and some of that is good but most of it is just annoying because it's two drunk girls yelling at each other, but when you have that as the main feature and the elimination challenges are all along the lines of, "climb this rope, then put these puzzle pieces together in order, then run around the circle and ring the bell" it's just not very intriguing television.

We need another prime CT type character or several B grade CT types and more challenges like when CT backpacked Bananas.

Any guesses on the actual twist?

I think what happened with the skulls is that the producers always placed the container w/ the skulls on a box over sand. The reason they did this is so they could bury a production member in the sand directly under the box so he could reach up into the container and put 4 black or 4 white skulls in the container based off of who they wanted to go in and who TEEJ picked to go first. If they didn't want the person who was picking a skull first going in they would put 4 white skulls in there and after he/she drew a white one they would reach into the container from underneath and replace the 3 remaining white skulls w/ 3 black ones.

Spoiler:
No, I'm not serious.

Another reason to LOL at Vince: Don't think he bothered Cheyenne once when Cory was still in the house. What an awful human being.

One other thing from the episode I just remembered, to the guy currently leading the MTV fantasy league for naming his team Leroy's Swimming Coach or something similar.

I haven't watched but on the No Quitters pod they said the latest season of the real world had some unemployed lunatic named Dion that's tailor made for challenges.

I watched a couple episodes, he didn't jump out as being prime Challenge material to me. He seemed a little small and wasn't slaying, seemed more like someone who would fit in at an EDM festival than broing out in the gym. They brought in some jacked up idiot from Boston though who seemed like he could be a poor man's CT in the future

Agree with this pretty much all the way around.

Dione is def challenge material, except that he is pretty skinny.

Dylan (Boston guy) looks like a good challenge guy.

Ceejai and Kailah also look like they could be quality challenge material.

I have a feeling MTV is shifting away from direct hand-to-hand and high-speed stuff for liability reasons. There's no way people didn't get concussed in the past.

That's why it seems like the closest you get to direct confrontation are these nerfed challenges where they're blindfolded or crawling or whatever.

If they're concerned about liability, why do they drop them from so high in the water to the point that they're always getting hurt? Would rather see shorter water drops & more actual physicality.

Dione can be on the CHALLENGE...I'm just not that excited about. Agree on Kailah, am meh on Ceejai.

I feel like Ceejai and the little racist girl are a lock to be on a future Challenge together if they want to, they would love to throw them in an elimination together. They might run another season of Rivals just for those two, it seemed like genuine hate, not just stupid reality TV beefs like most of them have. Agree on being meh about Ceejai though, not really feeling people who go on reality TV and then act like it's beneath them

Dean would be good as well.

Yeah Dean is pretty jacked, and a cool guy, he just seemed really low-key and I didn't really peg him as a challenger. Would be fun to see him though.

Nah I paid attention nearly every time and I never once saw them pull the black skull 4th. Tj would always just say alright looks like it's so and so vs so and so after the third white one was picked.

I don't care what happened on-air, I'm just saying there's no way the producers wouldn't be totally up front about it (either by putting the skulls into the container in front of everyone, taking the remaining ones out in front of everyone, or both). If they tried not to, there's zero chance that one of the players going into the jungle wouldn't chime in and ask to see them.

Going to guess this is something that is edited for tv. Kind of like on survivor when they put the votes in order for most drama

This season is bad. The vets are getting too old and the newcomers are terrible for the most part.

Challenges suck too. Last week's crawling challenge had zero drama. It's not like running into each other and trying to knock each other down... there is zero point to trying to stop the other person - you can't move yourself if you do that, so what is the point? That is why no one bothered.

The break glass challenge was dull, as was that horrible stay up all night and memorize dumb s**t challenge.

And did I miss an ep or did they not even do a trivia challenge this season? TJ laughing as he launches people into the water because they can't spell 4th-grade words, is one of the best parts of this show.

They ruined trivia by burying the girls and making the guys try to answer trivia about them. Honestly I'm a little disappointed in TEEJ, he should have staged a walkout when they told him that not only would we not get to hear the challengers guess at what the official language of Australia is, but we wouldn't get to see anyone get tossed in the water either.

Please don't have Dario vs Devin in the final elimination. Let's have at least a little bit of suspense this season.

I would not mind them rigging a Bananas vs Creepy Uncle Vince elimination. The whining would be off the charts
