Lol at splitting second and third place being more interesting than first when it's a 137.5k decision for first place and only a 25k and 12.5k decisions for second and third. Anyways, screwing over your partner is obviously the +++++++++EV decision for first place even taking into account future challenges

by more interesting i just meant more likely for it to happen. because its not like you accomplished something amazing and once-in-a-lifetime type of thing together. you failed and so one person was more at fault for that failure

I don't think it's more likely to happen, the difference between 1st and 2nd/3rd is enormous $$ wise. Way more incentive to take it all for 1st.

Lol at the challengers reputations being worth even 135 bucks lett alone 135k

if you give up the 135K then you are more likely to have people work with you in future challenges. you might even win 135K!

doubt even bannans has 135k in equity going forward in future challenges. passing up that kind of money for your family to give to a fellow reality contestant would be hilarious.

As long as producers keep giving him layups he has WAY more than that. He will keep doing this until hes 45/show gets cancelled, also people (other than devin, wes and ABE are retired i think) come into the show wanting to 'be in his alliance' and give him a pass to the finals.

Dude probably averages something like 1jungle per season and unless is a puzzle or his partner screws him (hi nany) hes a decent favorite against pretty much anyone that competes nowadays.

Also, hes GREAT at running finals. I dont like the guy but hard to argue against him being the GOAT CHALLENGE player.

That being said at this point everyone knows hes a hypocrite so if i were him i would totally get all the cheddar and tell sarah to gtfo. He wont tho.

Doubt Bannans will be doing this at 45, even if he is, I doubt in 2022 this would come back to haunt him. Him and Sarah were enemies, it's not like he ****ed over Kenny or Evan. No way it hurts him by more than 135k in equity going forward.

bannans did not get screwed by nany in an elimination, he got wrecked man up by leroy

overall point generally true though, he has so much equity even if he only does like 5 more seasons

John screwed Paula walnuts out of a finals share.

To think he wont screw sarah, who went on a media tour shouting from the rooftops that theyre not friends, is ludicrous.

What is Bannans career elimination record? He definitely isn't the GOAT. It's like calling Emmitt Smith the GOAT running back.

lots of people overrating bannans going forward.

Bananas is 7-6 in eliminations, which is pretty crazy considering this is his 13th season.

it's also hilarious how the challenge prize pool varies so wildly season to season

Yup. He's getting old and didn't win any money the previous two challenges. If he does 5 more, you could argue his equity is more than $135k (it probably is) but it's not like it goes to literally $0 if he screws Sarah.

Fairly easy decision if we're just lookin at it from a $$ standpoint.

plus this was literally the biggest muppet field in challenge history and it was completely rigged for bannans getting the best partner and vinnypig protecting his blindside

Devin should keep the cash if he wants to get another invite.

I feel like Devin has stirred up enough controversy to get at least one more invite

is 135k actually that much to bananas? i figured hes already rich since hes won 5 of these before

and he'd still be getting 135k too, its not like hed be walking away emptyhanded
The SE CHALLENGE Thread Quote
08-02-2016 , 02:57 PM
lol of course 135k is a lot to him, in fact it'd probably be the most he's won on any single show, and you double it i dont see how he doesnt take it all

some of the shows he's won have been split 3 or 4 ways

wiki says hes won 410k from the show so taking it all would increase his show winnings by about 25%

$135k is over an avg year's salary to Bannans for sure

Not to mention he's literally never had a job in his life so he's gotta bank as much as he can now before he hits the wall in a few years
