Anyway, JOHN BANNANS. With one deliciously Machiavellian move I went from hate to respect. Errybody seems to be posting what an easy decision it would have been to take it all. Dunno, I just couldn't see anyone having the stones to do it. Dick move, sure, but yet one I somehow respect knowing the ramifications it will bring with it.

Also, wtf is it with this Nessa afterhost chick? Every episode she puts on (at least) ten pounds, her hair, lips, and earrings somehow get more ******ed, and incredibly she gets even more annoying. Yet NFL players want to see her naked. I'd pay her to put on more clothes.

Sarah has gone from very likable, to respectable after ****ing over BANNANS, to now just a total phony loser just like the rest of these clowns.

He basically cost himself 250,000 by roidmonkey spazzing out the puzzle.

Did they show the times? I didn't think it was close enough that it made a difference. I figure Bananas/Sarah finished the final leg 25min+ ahead of Vinny/Jenna.

Teej said it when announcing the final results. Seems somewhat unlikely to be true, but who knows?

Looking back on the season there was only 3 opportunities to throw Bananas and Vince in. In all three spots they would draw skulls against each other.

1. Cory/Ashley could have done it to put them up against Reilly/Jessica
2. Nate/Christina could have done it to put them up against Jamie/Kellyanne
3. Dario/Nicole could have done it to put them up against Nate/Christina

That's it. Those were the only opportunities. Every other week they were in complete control. Cory and Ashley's win was ep 3 jungle 2. At that point the rookies were all over the place and even Wes hadn't rallied them in any way. Plus Jessica was with Reilly and they were a mess. I can understand why they wouldn't try it here.

In the other 2 scenarios you had 2 teams that wanted NOTHING more that to be the 3rd place final team. Nate and Christina's spot was probably the best to do it. Jamie and Kellyanne were probably the best matchup available against either of the cousins teams. Dario and Nicole should never be able to find their way into an alliance after this season. I would trust Bananas before I would trust either of them, tbh. Dario knifed his supposed best friend and Nicole axed her cousin.

So while they all sucked and made bad decisions when they had chances, it's not really like they had many or any that were actually good. Best chance was the crapshoot blindfolded soccer jungle.

The final result wouldn't have been close at all. Teej said going into the final leg that only four minutes separated the two. Further, if Vince and Jenna were in the lead he certainly would have said as much, since he didn't then it was clear that Bannans and Sarah were ahead. Finally, since they never showed two teams in the same shot late in the final leg, it's clear that even if Bannans and Sarah were trailing they easily overcame that deficit. Teej provided vague information and along with vague editing built what little suspense they could. I'm guessing they won by at least fifteen minutes and it could have been 30+ minutes.

The cynic in me wants to think that Bananas taking all the $$ was scripted by the producers to add some drama to a trainwreck of a season where the outcome was never really in doubt. Even the final challenge was lackluster... walking into a mine, grabbing some puzzle pieces, and walking back out, does not make for exciting television.

However I'm just not sure Sara can act that well, and her surprise and hurt seemed very believable. If so, she's a better actress than I thought.

Still a terrible season though, just zero excitement.

I did LOL at Vince and Jenna when they got 2nd place and he shared the money with her... no hug, no thank you, no nothing... they didn't even look at each other. Pretty obvious Jenna just can't stand the guy (can't blame her).

I ended up listening to this podcast as well as somehow the No Quitters pod STILL isn't out yet. WTF. And while I do hate Sarah, I can sort of understand where she's coming from. She felt like she got screwed out of 137k and she couldn't tell anybody about it for 6 months. Prolly drove her insane. I'm sure she had all of this ready to spew out.

+1. The final wasn't close. Good job good effort by MTV to make it seem like it was close though. When Devin told Cheyenne they could hear John screaming at the top of the mountain, I really thought they were only a minute or two behind them...............They added this twist to try to make up for this garbage of a season/finale.
