The Arse scored from a corner due to an uncharacteristic error by Chech and all the best chances in open play were created by Chelsea. Apart from picking the ball out the net Chech hardly had to do anything yet the Arse keeper had to make numerous saves and SWP missed a gaping goal from point blank range.

Dawson - Confidence is an issue here but season before last he was immense and was in England Squad behind Terry/Ferdinand/Cambell/King and Woodgate when he wasn't injured. I stillt think he's a class defender and still quite young (23?)

We beat Pompey - Great result and a solid defensive display. A few results went our way apart from Newcastles late penalty which gave them 3 points but I'll take it....Our main objective is to close the 7 point gap on us vs West Ham/Newcastle !

I think Almunia made three good saves, but any good keeper should have made those.

Arsenal won many free kicks in your half, had a decent amount of corners.

On th RVP goal, Rosicky was slightly offsides, but nonetheless, Arsenal shred your team apart on the attempt.

Adebayor's goal SHOULD have counted. Haim got absolutely owned on that play, and I cannot understand why it was taken away.

RVP had two good attempts on goal, as did Cesc. I would say one of those attempts should have scored.


Other than Ian Wrights kid missing a sitter, Chelsea's best chances all came from outside the box. The Arsenal back line controlled play. If Cesc and Flamini had one game under their belts before this one, Arsenal would have thoroughly destroyed the midfield. As it was, they controlled it fairly well.

I am amazed that you think Chelsea played well in that game. Not having Drogba or Essien really, really showed.

Wanted to add that on the Gallas goal, not only did Cech misplay the ball, but the marking on Gallas was very poor as well.

You're way overrating Bale, Matt Taylor and Riise are also better than him but I suppose it's natural for part-time football fans to only look at the 'big four' for comparisons. I watched Bale live last season and Micah Richards made him his bitch for the entire game (when Micah was still playing RB).

See my earlier posts for thoughts on Dawson and King. The fact is they did play most league games last season (yes I double-checked before I posted) and Spurs conceded a lot of goals compared to other teams in the league.

KDawg, we are only losing two players. One who is easily replaceable in Eboue, and one who will be tough to replace, but I think we will be ok, in Toure. Togo did not qualify so Adebayor is not leaving. Chelsea and Pompy are the two teams that will get ****ed by this IMO.
