I think soccer's worse than any of the American sports WRT rumors. I've seen rumors seemingly linking half the starters at Chelsea as leaving.

Gutted about the Bale news...but I think we have turned a corner and Bale does seem very injury prone... I think 6-8th would be a massive achievement and its possible with the right run of results that we can make some ground on other teams over the xmas fixture period....

ok, which teams do any of those guys just "walk into".

King would be first choice at any prem team except Man U (Ferdinand/Vidic) & Chelsea (Terry/Carvalho). Arsenal possibly but probably not, all the rest easily.

Dawson would also get into any team outside the top 3, although arguably not Liverpool. Chimbonda would beat out regular right backs for many of the prem teams, none of the top 4 though, and poorer choice than (arguably) Neill and Warnock, but he's a good replacement for just about any other team. Likewise Lee on the left would replace many in his position.

You seem to be confusing Spurs first choice defence, with the one that's been playing this season. How often has King or Dawson played? Or Chimbonda & Lee? Very few games, and I would guess none together.

Anyone in New York, I will be at Nevada Smith's starting at 8:30am for the Liverpoop v. Man Utd, then Chelsea v. Arsenal. I'll be wearing my blue #26 shirt!

King is the only really good defender you have, Dawson hasn’t looked half as good this season with out him.
Chimbonda is better going forward then defending and you must be kidding about Lee a right footed left back with a tendency to dwell on the ball and lose possession.

Dawson missed the first five games but played every game since.
King hasn’t had one minuet of playing time.
Chimbonda has been ever present missing only ten minuets.
Lee has sat out six games.

and Bale is the Welsh left back and has played the majority of his career at left back he might have been playing left mid for you but that’s because you haven’t had a decent left mid for years not since Ginola.

God I wish united had gotten bale. He was the #1 guy I wanted to sign in the summer and now we are left way short on side backs :\

King is the only player that could walk into another team, and even then, the number of teams isn't that high. Of course, this is assuming he is on form and healthy, something which hasn't been the case for almost 2 years now.

Last year, only six teams let in more goals then Tottenham.

totally agree. The walking into most teams statement was an exaggeration on one side and rubbish was an exaggeration on the other. somewhere between but more towards rubbish lol.
