He never should have been booked in the first place. Sure, it was a foul, but not a booking. That set the tone for the game and all of the fouls being called obviously got into the head of almost the entire team.

According to that logic the League Cup Final was a great result for Chelsea!

And please don't use the word "Yids". It has nasty, anti-semitic connotations.

It's Spurs nickname. It's used by Spurs fans. No issue.

Gotta love this from Wenger:

Yes, they are VERY consistent - consistently dropping points.

Sadly it's Bolton that stand between Arsenal and a winless March. Normally a good fixture for Bolton, but I just can't see Prof Yaffle and his merry band playing the whole month without a win.

Really, I really don't know what happened to him, either. He probably showed too much early in the season and now Wenger is afraid to put him down for a few matches.
Dude, I allready pointed out it was the haircut.

FYP. Players like to start, badmouthing the manager is not a great way to make sure you are in the starting 11.

Ballacks head shaking when he was brought off spoke volumes. Yes the subs were right, but I would have started the game with the personell he brought on.

Why play Essien at right back? when you have a perfectly good RB in Belleti on the Bench. Either Essien starts in mf or he flys a bench. AG is trying to accommodate the squad at the cost of playing players out of position. This is a massive sign of insecurity. If he was secure he would start the best 11 in there respective postions and that would be the end of it.

Funny thing is that there are probably as many Jewish Arsenal supporters as there are Spurs supporters.

Mascherano was an idiot for running 60 yards to tell the ref to **** off when he was already on a yellow.

Also tell me (from a Liverpool fans perspective) how "could" it have been a really good game? United should have been 4 up by the time Mascherano got sent off.

I would not say it's quite that simple. I know of a fair few jewish gooners who do not use the term at all. And I don't use it when they are around since I know it offends them (maybe offends is a bit strong). It's a bit tricky to be honest.

The one time in my life I've been truly shocked and embarrassed to be gooner was on the bus to the San Siro a few weeks ago when a shockingly large group of ****s was singing both "I'd rather be a paki than a jew" and "Hitler was a gooner". I know it's not something exclusive for Arsenal and that pretty much every English team that travels in Europe will have that kind of element. But it was still a bit of a shock to me.

.
It's like Huns & Tims, while the basis of the word obviously has some religious historical significance, it's not generally used as an insulting term.

Yeah. The interview was before Sunday. I guess it must be really silly to show a little faith in your side and perhaps get the confidence up heading into the match with Chelsea.

Just hilarious.

I don't get the decision either, but I think he's just trying to mix it up as Essien has looked far from the world-class player he was under Mourinho. That being said, the Arsenal match where your season is on the line is hardly the place to do it. Belletti has been far from Avram's first choice RB over the past few months, though I don't know why.

As for the substitutions being 'right', I don't know if I'd go that far.

What was really wrong with the decisions? You are down a goal, so you bring on a striker, you have Essien who can move into the center of the field and put belleti at RB. Yeah Ballack has been playing better, but I don't see why you don't bring on a striker there. In addition, both subs had a part in one of the goals. Its a results oriented business and the results say your opinion is wrong.

Yeah, the past four years have really been horrible for Chelsea fans. OH NO, WE MIGHT LOSE A GAME. Bunch of classless ****s, and its no wonder where they get it from, watching their captain play like a complete bushleague d-bag every weekend. it was real classy that he "returned" the ball to us by punting it out by the corner flag on our half. I ****ing hate John Terry and his stupid calicky hairdo.

I think the correct players were brought on, it's the players that were brought off that were questionable in my mind. Again, Essien = horrible Sunday, and had no business being out there. What better player to move to the holding MF spot than the player that's turned the ball over a half a dozen times! I'd have to assume the Ballack decision was strategical, as he had the yellow, and didn't want to risk a Mascherano happening.

Then why did you whole team move up and try to box us in on our half? Not a mistake. That was calculated and borderline scummy.

Calculated??? Clearly JT huddled the team together and said "Hey guys! You know what would be hilarious??? We should kick the ball in their half but have it go out right before the corner flag so we can trap them!" Hell I bet we even practice it!

United should have been up by 4 goals but they weren't and we were looking threatening at times. I'm not saying that United wouldn't have won but it would have been a much better match had Liverpool not gone down to ten men.
