Supposedly official, Leafs have signed Nylander 8 x 11.5, just trying to confirm about signing bonus and full no movement clause for all 8 years.

They will have 54 million tied up on 5 players
Yikes

$21 million left with 8 forwards, 3 defensemen, and 0 goalies signed for next year.

Looks like Tampa Bay from this year. They are proving that $1 million plugs is not a good look.

Panic on the Leaf cap situation seems overblown. They'll have one year where they'll do what Boston did this year (1M to Shatty, JVR, Heinen, Lucic). Then after that they'll be fine. People just wanna freak out for nothing imho.

The only question is what Tavares resigns for. He could go down as a GOAT leaf if he does 4M or less (the way Bergy did)

They will part ways most likely with the LTIR guys(if possible) and Samsanov, hopeful for a Tavares discount and lots of talk they will not keep Marner when his is up, but we have a lot of guys we have to sign or replace next year.

think the average person believes, based on the fact that the average person believed every year that benning was tripping over his dick into a pot of chili and they were finishing bottom-5, but i'm not sold quite yet. looks like they've moved into moneypuck's t10, but the things they do best translate the worst to the playoffs iyam. they're 3rd in powerplay time, and still 1st in shooting %, and when you're that rungood the only way to go is down

they probably need to add more to the team before the deadline, and i think they will, so i guess we'll see what they look like then

Fun Fact: In the last 2 games the Stars have played against the Wild in Minnesota, they have scored 4 short handed goals.

Switched over and watched them play the Blue Jackets. Man, they made them look like a bad junior hockey team.

Jets are a force to be reckoned with. Some great teams this year. Playoffs should be awesome and a ton of great hockey yet to go on the road to get there.

It seems like the Bruins have become OT loss merchants almost to the degree that the Leafs are OT win merchants
