It happened again at the end of this Maple Leafs game.

It sure looks like it should be a penalty. Why don't they care about the refs?

The top line and Hutson, Demidov...zero points. Dobson and Dach enough for 1 point in OTL. Dach looking good lately. Former 3rd pick this guy been so hurt and bad...at one point though, a couple of years ago to start the year, he looked like a player, then the injuries hit him hard. Still really young. maybe they habs have something here idk.

I like Dobson having a good game, and good season so far. You never know when you trade for a dude, you have to ask, why did the other team not like him enough to keep him?. And the other teams fans all summer will troll and say how he sucks. So, good that he and Dach are off to good starts.

Thanks Montreal for blowing up my 4-team parlay with 3 dogs. At least when it was tied I was able to hedge a bit.

When Habs first were blowing leads, I didn't think much of it. Small sample, outplaying opponents, and usually winning (with the exception of Oilers game, but the refs were bad so it was w/e). But these last 2 games, Habs clearly outplayed. They were outshot and were very lucky, especially tonight, to even get one point. Devils were too fast, too skilled. Habs too cute with the puck. They fall in love with the flashy play. Just shoot it more, get a rebound.

4-0 Colorado on the replay.

What does Edmonton do now?

5-0. 9-1 final.

6-6-4 16 pts, 0.500.

I think the last few years they wait around and the defence improves, somehow, like magic, by the end of the year. Is it McDrai decide to play defence at some point?

They've got tons of offensive talent, everbody seems to want to play there.

Do they have defensive talent?

Logan Mailloux sent down by the Blues. I like the kid tbh (yes, obviously he did what he did) Just not producing (to say the least, he has been awful) and he's an offensive D-man. Bolduc the trade piece habs got hasn't scored since first week, but he hits and is playing fine imo. Habs need the physicality.

It's a weird year so far, man, for both our teams. We were so good last year at pp and defense, and this year is a trainwreck.

Mindblown, we lead the NHL in goals scored, but also almost in the lead for giving up goals, supposedly.

Its weird with the Oilers of course Ill always jump on the bandwagon but find myself more a fan of Vegas . The oilers have made two cup runs with lackluster goaltending but when you have two of the best players in the game you can get past that. I think they were the best in the first run and not as good last year.
I find this team to have been mismanaged the day Katz bought them . I call it the Kevin Lowe curse . This team had three first rounders and has just under achieved

Last nights game I thought Mcdavid single handed won the game. The spin move and back hand goal was mind boggling . Though Skinner 19 shots and 15 saves . Bouchard benched in the first

I could go over all the blunder moves they have made but I just can't see them getting to the final this year. They may not make it out of the first round

Same thing again this game! I don't know what is going on, they are tired of Berube? Pissed about Matthews being C, Front office that has gone missing.

54th out of 54 goalies w/min 5 games played in Goals Saved Above Expected Per 90. Is that bad?

Dobes is 6th btw and was 5th last year.

This performance was coming by the Habs though. They've played the easiest schedule of anyone in the East and advanced stats have placed them around 22nd best overall in terms of performances. Mostly just benefitting from red hot shooting % of 15.3 (2nd is 13.7%). Is that sustainable? Well...no. Not unless they're the greatest shooting team in NHL history. 12.6% and 12% led the NHL the past 2 seasons.

I guess you could argue they've been a bit unlucky with Monty being so bad, but I think even if he's playing well, his ceiling is probably 20th best goalie in the league. Time to switch to Dobby and hope it spurs the team on to playing better.

My first ever Centre Bell game was vs. LA and they throttled the Habs 6-0. Habs are now like 0-8-1 last 9 vs LA. I guess payback for 1993 Stanley Cup.
