I dunno, pulling in 85000 for the dan hardy fight and even more buys for the koscheck fight doesn't sound like he's bad for business.
My friends love GSP even though I think he's boring to watch and they kinda think the same way but they love how he dominates. There are many fan boys who buy the fights. I don't think he's an issue with PPV buys, I just think he's boring to watch.

Lyoto would be at a big reach disadvantage, but he's very good at managing distance. He's hard to hit. And Jones can be a bit wild in his striking at times, trying for spectacular rather than solid. I could see him trying something crazy, Lyoto easily dodging out of the way and then making him pay. Jones has speed and athleticism, but he's not yet super-technical.

He'd probably try to take Lyoto down, and probably would, but I think Lyoto's distance management and spacing makes him one of the hardest guys in the division to take down. I like his chances at avoiding the TD as much as anyone's (since it seems wrestling credentials don't really matter ala Hammil, Vladdy and Bader).

Jones is a favorite over anybody at LHW now, but Lyoto is hte most intriguing fight for me.
Agree.
I think I've said Machida is the best test for Jon Jones in the EDF MMA thread.

However, Dana White won't be eager to give Machida a shot at Jones.

1. Machida has a boring style for casual fans.
2. Machida just 'lost' to Rampage, despite outstriking and outgrappling him (MMA judging gonna fail). Dana agreed with the decision.
3. Dana will want to keep the Jones hype train rolling, considering it is good for PPV buys, and Machida has the best chance at derailing it.

Machida will probably need a top 5 win to get a title shot assume he beats Randy (which is pretty safe tbh).

If Dana really wants to be a dick he can refuse to give Machida a top 5 LHW after the randy fight so the ******s online can dismiss another victory and maintain he still needs a new top 5 win to earn that title shot.

If Randy beats Lyoto I will **** a cow.

I like Forrest/Lyoto once Lyoto puts away Randy. Winner of that fight should be nicely positioned for a title shot.

The LHW division looks something like this currently

Jones/Evans
Jackson/Hamill
Lyoto/Randy
Griffin
Shogun
Phil Davis/Lil Nog

The next title shot, if Jones wins, will probably go to Rampage (assuming he beats Hamill). If Evans wins, I don't know that they'd rematch Evans/Rampage so quickly given that the challenger recently lost to the new champ and it was a zzzzzzzzzzznoozefest. If Evans wins, I'd expect to see a Lyoto/Forrest fight to get the next shot.

But assuming Jones wins, lets give Rampage the next shot, and set up Lyoto/Forrest to fight the winner of Jones/Rampage. While this is going on, take the winner of Davis/Lil Nog and have them fight Shogun, and the winner of that fight is back in the mix. Evans, having lost, has a few options which may include MW or fighting Rich Franklin at franklinweight.

That's what i think is the most likely scenario.

Are they Canadian? I know very few non-Canadians who actually look forward to a GSP fight.

Nah my friends is Americans from the South. I don't really mind GSP but I like to make fun their support of him. One of my friends has GSP in like one of his tight ass shorts as his i-phone background. They know how much I dislike him but the enjoy his fighting and his dominance. I guess I share the same enjoyment of Anderson Silva--but he does win ugly sometimes but other times dominates.

I don't mind GSP. I think he is a top 3 fighter in the world and seems like a cool guy but when he is headlining a PPV I really don't get excited for it the way I get excited for a Jon Jones or pretty much anyone else's fight. I agree people love dominant champions but I don't think most people like dominant BORING champions, which GSP is to most of the population that is going to order a PPV or go to a bar to watch an event.

Bones was on Leno. It is a good interview. He's an excellent ambassador for the sport. Fairly crazy story about what happened earlier in the day of the Shogun fight.

I bet the overweight, middle aged women demo skyrockets in PPV buys for his next fight.

I can't get excited to watch a fight where the competitors weigh less than ~170.

I jizzed in my pants when Korean Zombie twister'd Garcia with one second left in the round.

Easily submission of the year so far this year, imo. Crazy rare submission + 1 second left + revenge for a ****ty decision.

I'm brazilian and I hate just three brazilian fighters... Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida and Wanderlei Silva. My idol is Vitor Belfort! Can't wait to see him fight again... he will be back soon! Looking forward to see Vitor fighting at UFC Rio, his hometown and I'll be there! Someone else likes him?
