Yeah this. Whitaker is #1 but MW is close enough at the top that matchups really matter.

Yeah, Silva is too old for Iz, but they're making it fun. The slips but Silva and the taunting by Iz keep it interesting for what is otherwise a boring fight.

Anderson can't keep in shape now that he got popped for roids. Dude's got rolls.

Close 2nd round though.

Israel Adesanya couldn't put away a clearly aged Silva. Plus Silva stood flat footed and took a 3 piece to the chin and laughed. Not a good look even in a victory.

Well he survived so good for him I am surprised ( I’m casual I thought it was 5 rounds cuz main event)

Horrid card

****ty main event. Looked more like an exhibition match than a real fight.

Not saying he is broke but guessing Silva needs the paycheck more than some other legends.

His fights never really sold in his prime besides Chael/Weidman.

Doubt this is the last of him.

I disagree. I think he still wants to prove himself vs the best strikers in the sport. That fight was a legacy fight in a sense that you get a good idea prime Anderson would merk this version of Isreal.

I don't think Isreal looked very good. He didn't have enough power in his hands to make Anderson respect him. I think a really good striker with cardio like a lot of guys in the top 5 could be trouble for him not to mention a wrestler like Romero.

Romero looks 4 weight classes bigger than him lol

His fights vs Vitor and Nick Diaz both outsold his first fights vs Chael and Weidman. Only the rematches did better (and the second Weidman fight was co-headlined by Ronda).

His fight vs Vitor is solidly his third most successful headliner. He probably got points for UFC 200 also.

They need to strip him & Whittaker needs to take his sweet time to heal & think about the longevity of his career as he is only 28.
I don't know you interpret going tit for tat with Romero as a slight on anyone. Romero has seriously hurt or flat-out murdered several elite fighters. Whittaker survived enormous blows, fought off takedowns, and found a way to win twice. That suggests he has an incredible chin and a deep skill-set. He and Romero deserve to be regarded as the best in the division until proven otherwise.

Who are these elite fighters? Weidman isn't the same without his ped's and his record of late proves he's no longer elite. Rockhold has a glass jaw, but i'll give you that one & he went to decision with Jacare. Romero record isn't that great & his striking is terrible.

Costa is going to retire Romero in April as long as he can evade USADA & Israel striking is just on another level compared to him.

Kelvin also beats Romero, so does Woodley & Wonderboy.

I guess you made this strange prediction prior to last night's fight but it looks even stranger now after Israel failed to knock out a 43 year old fighter who never wanted to take the fight to the ground and who complete clowned on Adesanya dropping his hands throughout the fight to allow Israel to punch him in the face like he had pillows for hands. Israel has a **** load of TKOs in his career but this explains why he only has 1 clean KO (non-TKO), and it was via headkick rather than his hands. He also has only finished 2 of his 5 UFC wins.

Compare that to Yoel Romero who has 6 KOs (not counting TKOs) and has finished 7 of his 9 UFC wins by KO/TKO.

I'm on the Costa bandwagon 100% but both Costa and Israel both have big holes in their game and if either becomes champ in 2019 then it's more telling of how weak the division is right now than anything else. Really, Israel should be easy work for Romero if Romero were to actually utilize a gameplan that leaned heavily on his olympic caliber wrestling skills. I'm not convinced he would though which is favorable for Israel but what I will say is if Adesanya was smaller and was fighting at WW or was bigger and was fighting at LHW the top guys in those divisions would completely murder him with wrestling and several of those fights would not be competitive at all.

Forgot to mention that Anderson was also chasing after Israel at times which I don't recall him doing in the past. It's like he had less respect for the punching power of Israel than he did for the punching power of guys like Demian Maia and Thales Leites. (ok sure, Anderson was rightfully very concerned about Maia's ground game).

Of course. It was an exhibition fight to him.

Anderson Silva wants to fight Nick Diaz in his final fight in Brazil.

Conor Mcgregor wants the trilogy with Nate on the same card.

This is real. Too bad UFC 209 passed by already. It would have been perfect.

Cain TKO in -30 seconds. He will literally knockout Francis before the fight even starts.

I guarantee it.
