At this point, you really have to be a junkie in need of intervention if you spend money on UFC 215. It was already a ****ty card with absolutely no appeal whatsoever, but jfc is it awful to look at. I wouldnt watch this if it were free on fox.

Sometimes the ****test looking cards end up being fantastic.

Butyeah I'm not excited for this card at all.

Wonder if Stephens will call out Conor if he wins.

Damn women's bantamweight division looks terrible. Nunes forced to rematch Shevchenko who she already beat a couple fights ago. Then you have a couple mediocre TUF fighters like Peña and Pennington next in line. It was idiotic to open a weight class only 10 lbs. higher. Force de Randamie, Holm, and Cyborg to fight at 135 if they want to be in the UFC. As is, noone cares about either division.

Who the fook is that guy?

UFC needs to create some new stars asap but I dunno who. Garbrandt has potential, atleast more than anyone else on the roster. Kevin Lee maybe as well. But tough to see those guys going mainstream.

Robert Whittaker
Ngannou
Khabib can get bigger, so can Stipe if he puts a string together (unlikely)

Ngannou/Stipe could mebbe turn into Cain/JDS

Those are the 2 guys the UFC needs to win.

If Cody and Kevin Lee both win, they are shaping up to become mini stars who can fault into full star status with more wins which means more hype and more buys.

Kevin Lee is really the one the UFC needs to market. If they can turn him into a star and market him as the black guy vs Conor as the white guy ala McGregor vs Mayweather, they can do a lot of PPV buys imo.

Small pool of fighters and they are women so they are even worse to watch fight.

Kevin Lee going to get destroyed vs Ferguson so his rise will have to wait, he isn't ready yet.

Khabib was on the verge but he isn't willing to move to 170 and he has serious issues making 155 + previous injury issues before that. Cody/TJ/DJ is going to be the next star imo along with Joana & Cyborg, none of those guys will do 1mill+ ppv buys but i see them all having 400k+ ones once a few things fall in place.

p.s MVP who's in bellator has more star potential than them well, needs to come to the UFC.

I must be getting old because not long ago I'd have been cheering for Glenn to be driving his elbows home. Can't be arsed with this mismatch. Ref useless.

C'mon ref, he just turned away and is taking a beating for nothing.

Jfc Tucker's face is a mess and hasn't been able to defend himself in last 6 mins.

This is sick now btw, must be 50 unanswered strikes ffs.

Last edited by unwantedguest; 09-09-2017 at 09:00 PM. Reason: Tucker's mum wouldn't recognise him tonight.

Cejudo looked amazing, they need to scrap the Borg fight & tell him to move to 135 & give Cejudo the next shot at DJ, actually would be excited to see that considering how good Cejudo looked.

RDA looked amazing as well, maybe it was the weight cut affecting him & not so much him not taking roids why he looked not spectacular anymore. RDA vs Lawyer for #1 contendor should be next considering Woodley recovering from injury.

Title fight was technical striking match but kinda looked like a sparring match, i enjoyed it but understood why the fans boo'd, close close fight.

schevchenko edged it.

Valentina more consistent on the feet and when nunez took her down she did more damage off her back than nunez did on top.

Cody could become a decent star but on the Rogan podcast he said he has lingering back issues from high school. So don't expect him to be around forever.

Really hope he beats TJ in November.

Kinda feel like if Stipe was gonna be a star, he'd already be there. Fans just don't seem to care for some reason, even though he seems like a cool guy and is hilarious. I guess you have to be a villain or super charismatic trash talker to make it these days, unless you fill a niche market like GSP or Honda (latter was arguably a villain too).

He's only defended the belt twice (already an accomplishment as a HW), if he can ko Cain and pile up a couple more wins then I could see him building up a following.

He was a relative unknown when he won the belt and he hasn't had that super fight that makes a big star. He had holds the belt at HW for a while and he'll get there.
