well you don't need to but if you're going to put Jones/Cormier on this card something has go to give on a diff card, which is what Cald is alluding to in a roundabout way.

Taking Jones off of a headliner and adding him as a co-main leaves a hole bc something else has to replace that fight from elsewhere. Domino effect.

Might be a $ issue. Knows the gate on 200 is gonna be nuts and he is headlining it.

joao carvalho lost a fight due to TKO in some Irish MMA event and after the fight started to feel bad so was brought to hospital. He underwent brain surgery and passed away a couple days later.

First thing that I thought of when Dana said he refused to come to Vegas to promote the fight was that McGregor might be trying to avoid a random drug test. Who does the drug testing for UFC and could they travel to Ireland to give him a random test?
