I will take field vs Cards up to $100 if you like. Happy to escrow.

Just sick that Cleveland has a 1-0 lead and they are a lock to win

I hope one of these hold-the-tag calls ruins the World Series.

Obv not taking that bet without odds. They are still a long shot to even make it to the dance. Just saying if they make it you never know what can can happen. They've lost as the one seed like 3-4 times in my lifetime, but the the 2 times they won it all came as severe underdogs when entering the postseason. Their starting pitching should scare everyone if they advance past the play in game.

I will be happy to cross book Cubs vs Cards at appropriate odds if they happen to advance past the play in game.

For all the slurping Stanton has gotten, JD Martinez only has 1 less homerun since the break.

It is kinda weird how both halves of the season are taken into account for season long statistics.

Except for the fact all the Stanton love has been in the second half because of his homerun rate, but keep being mad.

He is approaching 61 homeruns, that is a pretty historical number.

JD has had a great season which was unfortunately shortened by injury but I disagree that Stanton is stealing his glory. Imagine if Stanton was in a more hitter friendly park like Arizona? He has hit half his homeruns in Marlins stadium.

lol not cowardly just clarifying as I type too fast, a couple month sample size is still not enough to freak out over, he still needs to do that over an entire season to get the type of publicity stanton is getting, and if he ever does, he will. JD has still had a great half and gotten a lot of attention for that, lol thinking Stanton is not the better story for the season.

JD also a better NL MVP candidate than Michael.

JD is probably a better MVP candidate than Goldy.

Derek Jeter doesn’t even own the Marlins yet, but he already has informed the team that he plans to fire two special assistants who are in Baseball’s Hall of Fame (Andre Dawson and Tony Perez), the manager who led them to the 2003 World Series championship (Jack McKeon) and the player known as Mr. Marlin (Jeff Conine), according to two MLB sources.

And here’s the twist: Jeter asked Marlins president David Samson to fire those four Marlins luminaries for him, because Jeter didn’t want to do it.

Even more strange, Jeter made the request after telling Samson what he already knew: that Samson would not be returning as team president.
Yeah Jeets

JD Martinez only has one less home run since the break than Stanton. Am I just being a homer if I think this would be talked way more if he was on the Dodgers/Yanks/Red Sox/Cubs. So weird how media market plays a role in giving credit to accomplishments like this.

yeah the historically huge market of miami must be playing a role

he's combined the post asb run with approaching 60, what's not to understand

one guy is at 42 HR
the other guy is at 56 HR

and some can't figure out why media is talking about one a lot over another?

Pretty sure it was a play on this post from a few days ago rather than a real gripe.
