I assume everyone watched it but Black Chilly's handiwork needs to be recorded here.
Vikings up 7, Redskins driving, 1st and 10 MIN 25. 1:18, clock running. Black Chilly calls timeout because LET'S TALK ABOUT IT. Having TALKED THINGS OVER, the Vikings retake the field and promptly give up the biggest play of the drive.
Black Chilly wasn't done yet. 2nd and goal from MIN 4, 0:38 left, clock running, he calls timeout again. It was argued in game thread that the Redskins weren't going to run out of time anyway, but the timeout allowed them to run in bounds on 2nd or 3rd down if they wanted to, while if clock was allowed to run on 1st down they would have to pass. Also Griffin getting sacked is less of a problem with extra time left on the clock. Time left on the clock in case Redskins score is not relevant since in a tie game Black Chilly is going to kneel to OT 99.9% of the time.
