Because of their love for a good Indian curry?

well chicken tikka masala is the UK's favourite dish these days.

But no, my guess is that in cricketing terms at least, England fans would support anyone playing against Australia

Stokes averages 35.9 which is a very good average if you're also taking 2 wickets a test at 30 as the 4th seamer but it's not good enough when all you do is bat at 6 if you aspire to be the best team in the world
I just rewatched his innings in 2019 and Stokes could be coming in with a zimmer frame and I'd still back his spot in the team.

well yes that was a great innings and he batted very well in 2019 and 2020

But in his last 25 test matches...since the beginning of 2021, Stokes has scored 1284 runs at an average of 30 with only 6 scores over 50 in 42 completed innings. Which isn't good enough for a test #6 to hold his place if the captaincy wasn't part of the equation

Why did India select Yadav?

Also what is with the measuring plastic beer cups in the crowd? People are having trouble just holding onto a plastic cup and need a handle?

Warner of course gets out in a slack way.

Marnus just got bowled because he's standing too far outside his crease and didn't have enough time to react to the ball

Australia very well positioned to win this

Had to bet on them paying 1.65 overnight to win, seemed like a lock bet if the weather holds

Can I just say out of all the Indian wicketkeepers they have in India - they select a guy averaging 38 with the bat in first class - you would think someone would be averaging at least 45 over there with the amount of cricketers they have. Pretty disappointing India.

I much prefer teams picking the best keeper, so long as their batting is OK

I’m furious Foakes is being dropped for. Bairstow and used to hate Stewart keeping ahead of Russell

The ICC know how to pick a sponsor! Last year it was FTX and this year it is Aramco

Disgraceful conduct from the aussies as per, leaving the field to pad up when there was a drs review pending. Had to be called back on the field after an inside edge

Yes - I said this in my group chat yesterday. Cummins looks a little off and Boland is perfectly suited to our conditions

In the unlikely event that the edgbaston test reaches day 4, we have 2 spare tickets next to us, if anyone wants them?

In the Eric hollies stand. £70 each, face value. Monday 19th.

Boland is the GOAT, should be playing every game until he retires

Even though I have money on Aus, I am rooting for India to pull off the win. First big trophy since 2013 seems like a crazy wait for the talent they have.

I like a lot of their players so I cant lose in this match

So many million Indians and so many Indian cricketers and yet they are so **** at fielding

It’s almost a statistical anomaly

Bad decision to give that as a catch. It clearly touched the ground.
No wonder India are livid

Nah clear catch - can't believe all the booing and the shaking of the head by Gill. He should have just walked off after seeing the replay and not bother waiting for the 3rd umpire decision.

With a day to go, Australia need to take 7 wickets while India need 280 runs. CricViz has Australia at 89% to win, India at 8% with the draw a surprisingly low 3%. Kohli on 44* has two career 4th innings hundreds.
