I've read somewhere the Bears could use Caleb as Fields back-up for a season to learn under him, like Mahomes behind Alex Smith. First I thought that must be a joke but I think that person was serious.
Market might still be there, but it's nowhere near the valuation the Bears have him at because he's not very good. Maybe he'll go the RGIII route and sadly punt the ball to himself

BAL S Geno Stone to CIN was ESPN's only A+ graded move for Day 1

pretty fired up for the Gesicki get. he's following CJ Uzomah's and Hayden Hurst's path of hitching your wagon to JOE for a season and then going elsewhere to get a bag. i'm all for playermakers taking a discount to play for JOE

lastly, hoping BAL grabbed Henry just when the wheels are about to fall off

jj trade back in play. if they do it i'll be quite pleased with the GMing. they're eating $44m dead cap on cousins & hunter contracts this year. rolling out the worst possible QB for tanking purposes without being completely transparent you're tanking (starting dobbs) while potentially developing rookie QB seems like smart move.

that point about getting him from a team in the same division is an interesting one

Many are speculating about a possible reunion with Ja'Marr Chase and Joe Burrow in Cincinnati.

Much of this speculation was sparked by a social media post from Chase himself.

"This will be a krazy story to tell," Chase wrote.

"Sources telling me Jefferson to Cincy is in motion," former Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert added.

I too like Jones a lot but the Jacobs deal isn't bad from GB - it looks like they can get out of it after 1 year if they need to. It's 1yr 12.5m with options

GB just going younger everywhere. super super young roster. I really like what they're doing

I can't believe he will be. Not sure a team in tank mode would sign Aaron Jones for 1yr $7m

Jones moved fast...his agent clearly thought the RB market was softening quick

JJ for Higgins and a couple of picks? Draft a qb to take a year off behind Darnold?

They can rebuild and try to win simultaneously

Imagine being a jets fan, finally getting Rodgers, and year 1 lose him on the first drive of the season and year 2 lose him on some boondoggle where he’s the running mate of a quack running for president

Diontae Johnson to Carolina for CB Donte Jackson, and swapping picks. Carolina gets 240, Pittsburgh gets 178.

I'm stunned by ATL Cousins deal. For what? They will not win anything. Is this a case of you have to spend the cap money anyway? I just do not get it. I like the eagles going after barkley. It's worth it imo. Could be an insane offense if it works out.

Just as long as there are no expectations that he will ever block anyone, no matter how blockable they may be, Gesicki is a fine get.

Genuinely curious how much of an upgrade he could be over what they got out of D'Andre Swift last season.

If Cousins' achilles stays put, they should probably win their division fairly easily.

it's a question of them having had truly terrible QB play for years and this setting a decent floor for them moving forward.

this should then bring out far better play from pass catchers like London and Pitts and take the pressure off the running game which should help Robinson too.

Their roster is pretty decent and they have a weak division which they should be favourites for

QBs in the divisional round in the NFC were Brock Purdy, Jared Goff, Baker Mayfield and Jordan Love. Not exactly a murderer's row.

Kirk is good enough to win playoff games with this roster and in this conference

The south is so mediocre to outright terrible and smith and riddler were such disasters that if cousins can stay healthy there’s maybe 3 games at most on their schedule they’ll be a dog in

Falcons are probably the team most likely to win the 1 seed as things stand right now. Not saying they’re the best team in the nfc by any stretch but healthy cousins probably makes 12-5 their floor with this schedule
