I haven't seen any true franchise altering contracts this week. Ridley and Davis both were probably 'higher' than they should be. But really no F or maybe even D tier contracts this go around.

Makes sense with the past few off-season having franchise altering money thrown around. Reality is if you are only guaranteeing 2 years of a contract and the price is within 8-12% it's likely fine. With how the cap grows and how you can push money it's very very hard to put your franchise in an awful spot. Not saying there aren't 4 or 5 dealing with that now. But it will also self correct in a year or two.

He’s not a bad signing, but he’s been pretty middling without a DT of equal or greater value on the same line

You’ve forgotten more than I’ll ever know about football, I just don’t know based on what the d line is for the jags and what I’ve seen of this guy on the Niners that this is a great signing

Think that solidifies them drafting Caleb at this point?

If you drop/trade Williams, Ekeler and Keenan why are you not also trading Herbert and a couple of those stud defenders?

Compare that to what KC has done to keep Mahomes afloat. Two top 5 pass catchers for years and then when one leaves they replace him with 5 pass catchers all the while drafting high round pass catchers and now Hollywood brown.

Godgers #1 is probably legalize drugs. He would also be pro-personal choice and for a smaller government considering his stance on Covid.

I have no idea where rfk is on any issue. If he lands Godgers as VP I think rfk wil go down as the John calipari of politicians - he may not be able to lead but he’s the GOAT recruiter.

From my understanding it was 40/60 that he was even going to be available. Armstead is a true 2i player which there are only a handful in the NFL. His superbowl was definitely disappointing. But walker likes to play on the 2i side and Walker already has shown his talent level is unbelievable especially against downhill blocking. By placing Armstead and Walker to the same side the Jaguars now have an anchor side for their modified 4-2-5.

Meaning with a true anchor side now there teams will push pass pro to Allen more fluid but Walker will now deal with RPOs freeing Allen up for better rush strategy. Walker was already on the verge of exploding into a premier talent. Armstead is a veteran interior DL that Walker desperately needed to play with.

Unlike the rest of the Jags fans I'm understanding why both Allen and the Jags are slow on his deal.

because Ekeler Williams and Keenan are all way past their primes and Herbert is entering his. And it’s a first year coach who knows he won’t win next season?

Chargers drafted a WR in Rd 1 this year so were always going to move on from one of the wideouts. And Ekeler regressed badly last year so was never coming back on $$

I’m surprised they let go of Keenan for so little. I’d have thought they could get more from a contender at the trade deadline so they must have wanted to get off the $$

good add for the Bears though. It'll be interesting if they try to add a year or two to his deal

Sounds like Keenan was asked to restructure and said no. I don’t blame him.

With that said, Ekeler and Big Mike getting cut was expected. Keenan cut or on the move was not.

I think it’s icing on the cake for what we all expect to happen.

Bears offense is going to be fun.

I just feel like whole parts of the squad are middling veterans on second contracts paid better than they should be. Like pass catchers particularly. But also the o line. And that means the team is almost certainly capped and won't/can't ascend

maybe that's what needs to happen when drafts aren't being crushed? but I just look at their roster and can't really see an exciting future or a team that's gonna take a leap

vikes odds on faves to draft jj mccarthy*... he's unlikely to go top 3 but probably won't last until 11. maybe they're targeting ARI at 4?

*likely based on o'connell's penchant for blonde QBs (goff, stafflah, cousins, darnold, ...)

I swear, some of you guys have a weird obsession with Rodgers.

It's like he's the hot girl in high school that you tell everyone you can't stand but are secretly in love with.

If arizona is sticking with kyler I can’t see them trading out of 4 for any reason. They desperately need Harrison

I also have a very hard time believing the pats trade out of 3 to end up going that far down. There’s just no way they can afford to not take maye or daniels at this point

Assuming JJ is really their target 5 is the pick to trade for, and if harbs was talking up JJ so teams would come storming his door to trade up to 5, A ****ing plus by him

At least this puts to rest whatever talk there was of a QB competition in Pittsburgh.

Assuming they don't try to get someone else like Fields
