Still trying to talk myself into this one, but was there criticism for CMC joining the 9ers? Barkley is still younger and should be very good in the Eagles offense.

ESPN famously graded the trade C- for the 49ers and had to walk that back later.

re Ridley. yep, way too much $$. He was the only potential #1 FA WR on the market so I get that it was competitive. But no way I'd sign him to that

IDK though in general...I made this point a year or two ago. Every year the draft is loaded with wide receivers and yet every year teams continue to pay huge $$ for vets. I get the top of the market stuff but paying for meh starting receivers or double digit million for #2 and #3 receivers, I just don't get.

and Mack restructured.
Williams is another who struggles to stay healthy. thought it a promising pairing with Herbert but never really got going
really curious to see how Horitz and Harbaugh rebuild this team

Will he? He's had one semi good year, and been awful the last two. And he fumbles a ton.

But any deal he gets will likely be better than that Ridley deal, woof

I like him. Agree he hasn’t been great the last season or so and your points are all fair. I just reckon he’ll end up producing in a better system

In real time I remember thinking CMC is the perfect rb for a Kyle offense but thinking it was completely ****ing pointless since Womp was the qb at the time of the trade and didn’t see how this made them better in any measurable way

Predictably Womp got smoked by the chefs in CMC’s first game

I feel the dynamic and assessment would have been very different if Lance were still the qb and didn’t suck or if Bork were already the qb

Anyway, Womp sucks
