My bad I see now he is the sb and not the btn. His range is definitely higher than 38%. I have him at 52% from the sb 3 handed.

He probably just shoves on addeco a ton because he knows how many folds he is getting
Two things J.

He's in the sb I think not the btn (ah noticed you noticed this)

The other thing. I think you might be generalizing a little with those regs. I wouldn't group those regs together at all. Ironically, I have bokkie as one of the loosest, looser from Bob on the btn. I have over 800 hands 3 handed on you, Bokkie and Bob 3 handed.

Glad I am perceived as a nit . There are players there that are defo tighter than me 3 handed.

Oh...and I just noticed also. Hero in this hand is BillG...that probs makes it 3 things!! Man such a posting nit

Im suprised a few of you rate waterboa so highly, i mean he is obv a winning player and he does alot of things well. However he also seems to have a couple of massive leaks that can be so golden im not concerned when hes regged. Besides over my sample of him, albeit a small one, i have him as running insanely good, something like 200 chip ev per tourny over ev.

I wouldn't group all of those regs together either. It was only in reference to ironones comment on water boa being the loosest reg. All of those players overall play more hands than waterboa. 3 handed there are obviously going to be a lot of differences in the ranges of the players I mentioned.

Also I don't view yourself or Bokkie as tight 3 handed. I have bokkie as looser than me 3 handed as well as hu. Its 4-6 handed in which I view bokkie as a nit.

I think juicy and johnfukinsteed are the aggroest of the good regs. although I think steed was running super hot and was getting looser and looser. I was literally losing every hand to him for a decent period. I viewed him as pretty tight in mtts so was wondering if he was waisted ha

if I counted myself as a good reg I think I am middle of the road on that tight/loose scale

i'm excited as i'll be getting my om and table ninja tomorrow as my new dell xps 15 ultrabook coming tomorrow...gogogogogoggo

steed is so far away from being good. he has a winning strategy overall in hypers (as others fold too much), but his game is just awful

I don't play these -- I live in a country that's so free that we have our government nannies to keep us from playing poker -- but I would think that shoving wide and sometimes calling light would be correct before the FT in a turbo. How deep are starting stacks?

ROFLMAO @ steed being the loosest player... He is one of the nittiest reg
ever in the late game... unless he totally changed his game the 2 month I haven't played...

Oh OK. Anyway, just busted on a 54/46 that didn't go my way. A2JQ lost to A558. Shrug. $31.92 for 32nd place, which is not much compared to the $1333 for first. Bleh. The end of these tourneys really do become crapshoots. Sigh.

EDIT: AKQJT, starting stacks in the NLO8 hypers are 500, and it is only one table.

this guy literally shoved any A 6-handed and called with A984 type hands in first blind level when I first saw him in hypers. I've no clue about his MTT play, but unless he changed his hyper game, he is definitely one of the loosest regs out there!

Hmmmm, who is schachdoctor and cypriotflush? Man they also play a lot of these.

EDIT: and Juicy_J...

I'm beginning to see a ton of the same names over and over. I wonder what % of the NLO8 hyper player pool is just the same regs passing buy-ins back and forth and shaving off a little profit from the few newcomers that venture in? Or are there certain regs that seem to be coming out on top much more than everyone else?

John has loosened up a bit since Macr0s last played although I still wouldn't consider him among the loosest. A lot of players are not consistent with their play and often we can mistakenly view them as looser than they really are when we find ourselves losing to their bad hands while they are in loosey goosey mode for whatever reason (drunk, tilt, god mode etc). These hands tend to stick with us more than when we call them and they actually have a hand.

This is accurate. I don't know the psychology behind it, but we apparently remember that which inflicts more pain on us. i.e Our run bad and losing over rides our run god and winning.

that might be true for a lot of situations/players, but I've a ton of hands on john and seen him do that time and time again.

I have 23 000 hands on John...perhaps he shoves a lot of bad hands but that does not make him loose

Anyone know Duck3n from Belarus? Maaaan, any 4 cards, and is in god mode right now. Wow.

EDIT: Just looked up Juicy_J_93 on pokerprolabs and he seems to be among the most profitable O8 SNG/MTT players on Stars, right?

Without going in to specifics, I agree with this too. I am sure you are talking about the same tendency I had noticed.

What is that, 50x? I suppose in the first couple of rounds you might try standard bet sizing and playing postflop (although I'm not even sure it matters), but by round 2 or 3, you should be shoving or folding your entire range.
