What percentage of truefish's brain is Cream of Wheat?

truefish disappeared when it became obvious he had no idea what the DREAM act is. He'll be back in a few days trying to pretend like nothing happened.

I didn't read all his posts, but it's pretty awful that he misunderstood the Dreamers as kids who were actually born in the US and was still ok with deporting them.

What's worse? If he was always on board with requiring your parents to be born in the US to make you a citizen or if he just adopted what he thought Trump wanted? I guess the latter. Trumpers would be ok if grandparents were required to born here? Yeah. Great grandparents? Yeah. Whatever dear leader says.

lol. If you had done your homework, you'd know exactly who I voted for in 2012 and why.

I think he was talking about the parents. He doesn't really understand anchor babies either.

He never replied to the exact dreamer scenario. They usually don't because they don't want to look like complete a**holes. But we know he's fine with it.

Does Danny have bobman on ignore too?

Srsly this stupid ****ing bit of propaganda is picking up steam and I want to do my little part to nip it in the bud.

Cliffs is that Obama used the formal deportation process more than anyone, but drastically scaled back use of the more common informal deportation process.

I've been doing this for 11 years now and I have never experienced anything like it. The environment Trump has created even for legal immigrants, tourists, and international students is absolutely toxic and horrible. I was embarrassed for my country.
Back in my day the worst they, the international students, had to deal with was a person going to a party in the international student's dorm at, say, UofC, taking advantage of the notorious open bar they'd always have, and vomiting all over the hallway. This story may or may not be true and the person may or may not be me.

Sorry if this isn't the time for levity; yes, this is ****ing horrific what's happening.

Just watched the Carter Page interview. That guy is a freak and a very weird dude. Absolutely bizarre.

It's beyond bizarre that the contract has deportation clauses. Unless there are some crazy legal requirements putting liability on those who bring people in to perform on visas.

While it is possible such crazy stuff exists, until someone explains it I'm going to assume sxsw is managed by aholes.

Trump tweeted, post election, that us citizens born here should be deported if they burn a flag. I know it makes zero sense but they are not rational people. Nobody should feel safe.

From what I read the clauses have always been there and have never been enforced. So basically it was some CYA from SXSW that sounded sinister in the new environment and probably would be sinister if someone decided to get a bug up there ass about it at SXSW

Two thoughts on today's events:

1. At this point it wouldn't surprise me if the only difference between Carter Page and the guy who salutes Trump's cardboard cutout ever day was a suit and some policy papers. He's crazy enough to be a cult-like supporter who was sending them unsolicited policy papers, and the campaign was incompetent enough to use his name on a list of advisers because they saw policy papers laying around. It also wouldn't surprise me if he was a Russian operative who tried and mostly failed to infiltrate the inner circle of Trump. Nor would it surprise me if he was totally on team Trump, and is/was part of this whole potential scandal. In poker terms, his range is wide.

2. Our journalists/intelligence community need to follow two threads: Rybolovlev/Trump (see The Rachel Maddow Show if you don't know what I'm referring to) and the process of changing the GOP's Ukraine/Russia platform. The first relates to the money and communications between Trump/Russia, and the second relates to the quid pro quo and the communications on the Trump team. If you can tie a directive from Trump to his team on changing the platform, and figure out the financial side of things, that pretty much settles it. I'm curious about Rybolovlev's travels in NYC, because they'd be easy to write off as coincidental since it's a big city both he and Trump have homes in, but it's also the closest thing we have in the USA to a nanny-state in terms of private and public surveillance.... So retroactively tracking his movements may be possible. Whereas his plane showing up in Concord and Charlotte is more suspicious location-wise, you're less likely to find a smoking gun there and if you do it'll likely be on an individual's testimony. Vegas I think would be surprisingly tough to find anything, and I suspect the same is true in Palm Beach.

There are now a lot of threads for intelligence/journalists to pull on that start getting into the money and the influence/quid pro quo... If there's a "there," there, it'll unravel relatively soon.

Either that or he wants to flip and maybe write a book?
I'm confused, wouldn't knowing things be more likely to get him added to the ambassador list?

Or are you suggesting that by pre-emptively inserting himself into the public discussion on this, "removing him from the discussion," would be too obvious?

That might make sense... Although, they've shown a willingness to be pretty damn brazen so I'm not sure he's making the right move in showing a willingness to talk to the media if that's his motive.
