Just following on Twitter, search Flynn. I think postponement is close to worse case for him. And keeps spotlight on. Lulz.

Remember this all started with Dotard telling Comey to go easy on Flynn. Now Flynn is getting a pass for treason. NOT GREAT, BOB. Dude is singing and has the goods.

Seems like this is bad for Flynn, worse for whoever he’s about to snitch on.

This week in Trump inhumanity: Keeping a mother from her dying toddler

As the article notes, John Roberts OKed the Muslim ban because, look right over there, see the waiver program for hardship? People can still get in the country if they need to!

Except, no, they can't:

Quote:
Two-year-old Abdullah lies dying in an Oakland, Calif., hospital from a rare brain disease. He and his father are both U.S. citizens. But under the travel ban, his Yemeni mother has been blocked from coming to see her son, her requests for a waiver so far ignored — and it appears the child, now on life support, may die before she has a chance to say goodbye.
Quote:
Earlier this year, statistics released by the administration showed waivers had been granted to only 2.1 percent of applicants over five months — 579 of 27,129. An affidavit from a former U.S. consular official obtained by Slate indicates personnel were operating under instruction to deny waivers “at all possible cost.”

A federal judge in San Francisco last week rebuffed the Trump administration’s request that he dismiss a lawsuit claiming that the administration is denying nearly all visa applications from countries under the travel ban, as immigration advocates have alleged. The judge, James Donato, said the case was “not going away at this stage. ”

Haven't had a chance to follow the Flynn stuff today. Cliffs on how we went from the prosecution recommending no prison time to what I'm reading about now?

For those who don't watch Maddow, she likes to read court transcripts, practically acting them out. Tonight's episode will likely be very entertaining.

i cant get through the mandatory 20-30 minute buildup of borderline hysterics as she prepares herself to make the first substantive reveal regarding **** that i already learned about this morning

None of us actually saw what happened in the courtroom so we're stuck with first and second-hand accounts, but I think its fair to say the judge didn't like Flynn's attorneys trying to imply that the FBI may have tricked Flynn into lying. He wanted Flynn to own his guilt without trying to blame others.

He also wasn't that excited about the prosecution and defense coming to this no jail time agreement amongst themselves. He wanted to point out that this is a serious matter and he's the one who ultimately decides if jail time is warranted.
