The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

well at least they were able to fleece the american taxpayers out of another $trillion or so with this tax break just in the nick of time

I really can't wait to hear the grumbling from the low-information crowd when they find out that the extra $25 in their paychecks was just from the default withholding amount changing, and they owe money in April for the first time in years.

Having his foundation shut down as basically a criminal enterprise may have hurt Trump's mood, among other things.

That's just proof of bias as the criminal Clinton Foundation is still operating

If Hillary had a fraction of AOC's social media skills she would tweet about some upcoming Clinton Foundation event/fundraiser.

WaPo article on the foundation being shut down if you prefer that over tweets:

I'm surprised you feel like joining in the fun of pretending I think Trump is smart. He appreciates schemes most of which were probably thought up by others. But there is no doubt that he is the dumbest president ever. Until recently he was, in my opinion in the 70th percentile or so of Americans. That is true. But I never thought his 40 year old self could beat any one of my 7th grade classmates on the National Merit Scholarship Exams. And of course he has gone way downhill from there.

it burns my ass so hard that this fat disgusting piece of **** runs a scam organization in which he steals millions of dollars from charity to enrich himself and fund his personal legal defenses, and effectively gets off with a slap on the wrist, having to come out of pocket for basically nothing in restitution after the organizations assets are disbursed

meanwhile any poor bastard who gets caught stealing a $20 item off the shelf at home depot will have to come out of pocket for thousands of dollars in restitution/probation fees, maybe do a couple years in jail, and deal with a new addition to their personal criminal record

****ing real sweet justice system we have here in this country

My refund is going to be about 60% of what it was the last two years according to the IRS estimator thingy on their web site. I was bringing home around $20 per week more all year until November when our new insurance rates went into effect, now it's less than before the tax cut.

The messaging between the Russian Bots and the trump campaign leading up to the election seem eerily similar, almost like there was, what's that word?

COLLUSION

The foundation shutdown isn't the end. Press release says they will be going after crimes, including by directors, ie, Ivanka.

Flynn's sentencing hearing getting slightly LIT

Judge is quizzing Flynn, making sure he's actually admitting what he did after that garbage memo his apparently dumb lawyer filed a couple weeks ago
12-18-2018 , 12:33 PM

SO WTF WAS THIS **** FROM YOUR LAWYER???

I’m a cpa. I’ve told the people I care about that this happened.

Those that voted for trump.

Well.

Can't we guess that someone from the Trump legal team insisted on "HELPING" the Flynn lawyers and they weren't strong enough to say no, or they were passive aggressive and said "sure we'll give it a try, but if it backfires its going to be even worse for Trump" (and Trump probably promised a pardon or clemency if it backfired onto Flynn with prison time).

For a lot of them, their refund will just be smaller and they'll never notice. I must have made this point 100 times when the tax thing happened. No one except rich people know how much they expect to get back every year. People know how much they take home every paycheck, but the refund is just a magic bonus that appears out of mid-air.

It's another move by Rs where they can rob from their base and be unaccountable.

Doesn't work like that. Lawyers don't help other lawyers like that. Wouldn't work practically or ethically.
