Not sure how much was just blustering to air some frustration and how much was a legitimate threat to this forum's existence. People are demonstrating in the sticky the virtues of the forum and its quality discussion, especially when compared to what else is out there.

+1 to this. There are a bunch of smart, good, moral people itf, and to read some of them expressing the same outrage I feel more articulately than I could is comforting. I've also learned a whole lot since I stared posting here. I really hope we stick around in some form.

If this forums shuts down, it will be a sad day for me. I appreciate everyone who contributes to it. I have you guys to thank for my sanity in dark days.

Have no idea why everyone is talking this way. Starting a new forum on the interwebs is a piece of cake. I'd rather just stay on 2+2 because there's all the posting history and everything, but not like it's hard to create a new forum. We don't get many new posters these days and when we do people usually scream at them until they leave.

This is the problem.

Not sure what to make of this Buzzfeed/Mueller thing. As I posted earlier Trump/Giuliani were clearly unaware of what Mueller had, as they both said Cohen is lying, not Buzzfeed is FOS.

Perhaps they got Acting Stooge General Whitaker to look into it and insist on a statement? Also maybe Mueller felt that his credibility was at stake if he had indeed uncovered evidence of a serious crime by Trump and not moved on it? The latter is rather depressing as it would indicate that Mueller really doesn't have much on Trump.

This is only a problem because the world created here is not owned by those who actively participate in it. Effectively it is a tree house, and the land owner decided to re-evaulate the need of a tree house on his property. Another poster suggested it would be simple to just create this elsewhere, but that always sounds better and easier in theory than actual reality if it has to happen.

Many forums eventually devolve into this, where new people with differing views are pretty much unwelcome and shown the door quickly, and there really is no way to change that once a group of hardened entitled veterans is camping in a forum.

Although nearly everyone in this forum has little to do with the online poker industry, in some ways the current concern here mirrors what the SNEs were going through when Pokerstars decided it was time for a spring cleaning of how they did business.

Maybe someone who would be able to set this up should make a list of interested regs they could PM a link to if it comes to that. I'd hate to lose this forum as it's my main news resource now and I learn quite a bit from the varied and well educated posters.

I first read this as JFK achieved more in the first two years of his presidency than any other POTUS, by getting assassinated.

If that buzzfeed article ends up being completely wrong everyone involved should be fired. The ammunition it will give Trump and his people is inexcusable. It will also seriously hurt the next real stories credibility.
